  • @WaterGirl49

    thanks

  • LOVE your measuring spoons!! My Mum has had this same set for 36 years!! Brings me back to my childhood kitchen. Great recipe too!

  • @colevd

    Thank you!

I like the tupperware measuring spoons too, they have 1/8 teaspoon and 1 and 1/2 teaspoon measurements.

  • @freitasex allergic to oyster sauce any subtitutes?

  • @BlackSkullz09

I believe Hoisin Sauce would work.

  • Looks delish!!!

  • @0987654321libra

    Thanks!

  • good video

  • @ThePersonDS

    Thank you very much!

  • dang that looks good

  • @FloridaCarClubcom

    Thank you very much!

  • nice job!

  • @Pattycakessmiles

    Thank you Tess!

  • omgosh that looks so good! :D err no mushrooms for me plz :3

  • Spegg. Noodle? This vid has to be made by American.

  • Make me hungry again lolzzz (:

  • @Daryahou

    Again, lol, sorry!

  • Am going to try making this soon. Have been looking for lo mein recipes with good sauces and, most importantly, cabbage!

  • @griffspal

    Thanks!

  • When I make Lo-Mein I use Flour Sticks.. (a chinese noodle you can buy @ your asian market) I disagree that asian food is "easy" to make. If you knew what actual asian food is.. It's a lot harder than American food. I'd also suggest adding the sauce once the noodles are in the pan and stir-frying it. Otherwise it is a good substitute for actual Lo-Mein.

  • Yuck! It taste gross with spaghetti.

  • Looks delicious. Wish I had that plate in front of me. Thank you.

  • @jfsoller

    Man, your the best :)

  • not the vetcheble combination i would have gone for

  • Don't use regular speg. noodles. I tried that before and the sauce does not easily absorb into the noodles. No asian noodles except for rice noodles at my local grocery. Heard thin speg. noodles work fine.

  • I will give it a try...thanks for posting!

  • u dont need one tea spoon of sesame oil thats way to much...

  • He's just showing you what you can do with substitutions.

He doesn't even have a wok. He did a fine job.

  • hm thats not nice. he's trying. lol

  • I'm sorry. Nothing against him, I'm just being honest. He's doing a good job at trying though.

  • Realy interresting. I think that I cook it soon... probably with spring rolls :)

  • That was good, I followed your recipe and everybody loved it. I only used rice noodles instead of spaghetti. Thanks

  • Wow, thanks!

  • Italian-Chinese style - damn it looks good. Wonder if a touch of black pepper and meat/seafood will do as well. I like all my food to be HEAVILY peppered...

  • I think your ideas sound GREAT!

  • Have you ever heard of a chow mein sandwich because it's really good and very American dish. It's popular hear in the East Coast, Boston Area. Really Good. Try this recipe.

  • Never heard of a chow mein sandwich; very interesting!

  • I really think you should try it given the fact their are no YouTube videos about this sandwich. However, their are many recipes that can be found throughout the internet.

  • great, made it ez.

  • Asian food is so eazy to make!

  • Is this how you make house special lo mein please let me know.

  • I apologize, but I do not know what you mean by

    "house special"

I have never heard of that.

  • That's like the restaurant's signature dish. A pizza with everything on it!

  • I love lo mein!

    Looks amazing! Thanks =)

  • Thanks you Beautiful!

  • Yes, he's my little chef. And he loves Asian food. But not regular spaghetti or pork with tomato sauce. I'm 100% Italian, with my youngest not liking it!!! Go figure.

  • Yummy!!! My eight year old watched with me, and we will try it this week. Lo mein might be a great meatless dish for Lent. Thanks so much for posting :)

  • Your 8 yo liked it... amazing!

  • Yum.

  • Thanks!

  • wow! thats some good stuff!! It would be even better if it had shrimps.

  • Yes, I agree, but the person wanted me to make vegetarian.

  • I really like Lo Mein!!!!!!!!!!!!!Its been a long time since i ate that!

  • Thanks so much!

  • looks great! next time i'm at the store i'll get the stuff needed for this. where can i get some Chinese noodles, nothing is ringing a bell.

    5 stars!

  • Well you know in the refrigerated section of the store, you can get fresh pasta? You can do the same in an Asian Store. Fresh pasta only takes like 2 or 3 minutes to cook.

  • ok, thanks! i'll make this next time i can. keep up the great videos!

  • Have you gone to bed yet?

    LOL

  • You could use Ramen also, just drain away the water/soup.

  • That looked great! I think the pasta might be too heavy though-but that sauce with noodles I'd definitely give a try!

  • I agree with you and I did cook too much pasta; Thanks!

  • Looks great!

  • Thanks... your last vid was superb!

  • that is alot of cabbage, and mushrooms?

I am going to try this recipe, but my veggies will just be, garlic, onions, green onions, celery. Thats it.

  • Cool, I think your will be better!

  • ugh im hungry

  • I am too, I am going to record some sandwiches today.

  • Looks awesome can't wait for the next one!

  • Sometime next week will be the next one, thanks!

  • SOO Good!! Do you think you can make an authentic Salvadorian Dish? Pleasee??? lol THank you!!

  • Well your suggestions sounds great.

    I will LOOK INTO it.

It may have to be americanized, but we will see.

    Thanks for your suggestion!

  • Your request has really really sparked my interest.

I must say that food from El Salvador is so very similar to Mexican... I lived on the Mexico border for years and years.

  • What about trying the ohh soo popular Pupusas??? I tried making them but their difficult to make. lol. maybee you should try. youre such a great cook.!!

  • Do you cook a lot?

Pupusas it will be, but americanized so that they are easier.

  • Yea I do. I love cooking. All sorts of food. I love learning about different foods.

  • Thanks for the veggie dish hun

    GREAT job as usual.

    xx

  • Thanks!

  • oh gosh once again i am watching your vids while im hungry...

i had intended on using the left overs from dinner for breakfast but i have a teenager there were no left overs... i should know better by now LOL

    xoexo

  • teenagers are always hungry!

  • Awsome , the noodles look kinda to watery but still good, wouldve been better if you add smoke shrimp , or those small shrimps

  • Thanks and yes you can add any meat you would like to it.

  • Look's great, but I bet if you substitute rice for the noodles and add chicken or shredded steak it would be great also.

  • I completely agree with you, asian food is very interchangeable.

  • I love lo mein!! I usually get pork lo mein, but three other youtube users have convinced me to try vegetarianism, for better or worse. Thank you for this!!

  • This might be for the worse, well it is okay but not memorable.

  • Well, I think it looks very good!! But then again, I'm dieting, so maybe EVERYTHING looks very good:) And besides, everything that you've posted and that I've made has been great, so I have no doubt that this will be, too.

  • I think this would be a good food for any diet, whole wheat pasta would be better for you but I have never tired one that I thought was good.

  • Someone has marked your comment as SPAM.

I have tried to mark it "not spam" has not worked yet.

  • I just said that I would find out tonight :)

  • ohh ... thats is so good ... this is my favourite one .. no different except there were some green pepper ...

i think i will cook all the day this dish cause i realy needed to know the sauce recipe :D

    i'm so happy

    thanks alot michael :D

  • You are welcome; I have never tasted what you were wanting so I made this up!
