My uncle's name is Lester, but he just goes by Les (pronounced like 'less'). I don't think it's so bad! lol, but he is really cool, so I guess I just have a positive association with the name. lol!
I don't like Ruth because my name is Elizabeth and it knocked me off the list. haha. That's not the real reason. My old babysitter knew a Ruth and she had an accent that butchered the name.
I love Ada, though I've always spelled it Aida, which I think is Italian. I love Cora too. Harvey was the name of my dad's imaginary character that he would also tell us stories about.
My grandmas name is josefa but we call her pepa lol and she was born in 1940s and idk if I'll like this name but my moms name is Magda which originates from Magdalena and her middle name is soledad which means sunshine... Wat do u think of the name Megan?????
Oh, my grandmother was called Léa, too! My great grandmother was called Leanne, and is it just me, or is that, kinda modern for a woman born in the 1890's?
I think Willie sounds cute, but only as a nickname for Willa (Although if I had a daughter named Willa I'd probably call her William all the time just to annoy her!), Josephine is cute, and I'd use Joey as a nickname, but only because it's unique and because it does sound femine it's own weird way. And I love the name Ruth! I used to read these mystery books when I was little and one of the main characters name was Ruth Rose, and I loved it!
The reason I love Ruth is because I was obsessed with 7th Heaven when I was younger, and it kinda stuck with me :) I love Ada, especially as a nickname for Adelaide or Adeline. Cora is beautiful. Josephine is one of my favourites, with the nickname Posey. Jack is extremely popular in New Zealand, but I still love it! Haha, my husband's grandfather's name was Lester, I hate it! Great video :)
Mo-lester, lol! That definitely shouldn't come back EVER. Willie could be a nickname for Willa. Wilhemina is just as bad as Willie on a girl imo. Willa I kinda like though.
I find Jack kinda boring, way too overused - although not as much as John, William, etc... Willie on a girl is definitely unfeminine, its usually a nickname for William
My husband was just telling me how much he liked your VLOGS (especially with Jordan), but not the name videos so much... and then he was getting ready to leave the room when you started the "names that will probably never ever come back into style" and he stopped bc he had to hear it! lol. Then he emphatically agreed with Lester and WIllie. hahaha. GJ.
Ruth is one of my alltime fave names! I love that it means friend/companion :) Ada's amazing,a nd one of my friends actually has a baby niece with this name, though I do prefer the biblical Adah spelling. Harvey is so cute, it's one of the names I'm planning on using in my book :) Lawrence is fab!! Little Women makes me love it as well :)) I actually know a pair of 5-ish y/o twins named Keith and Lester :/ Faves of your family members: Mabel, George, and Alfred.
I am 16 and I am called Ruth. :( I agree with you though, I think Ruth sounds really old fashioned, most people call me Ruthie.
