GREAT brass work, but to me (as I know the score SO well), what you did is merely play the wind band score sans wood winds/reeds. It works from a brass perspective, but you could have re-written the ww voices in the brass, don't you think? It misses an ENTIRE LAYER of musicality w/o the chordal and couterpoint from the ww voices.
HOWEVER, perhaps your intent was to just perform the glorious brass work w/o woodwinds?

Reed actually originally composed the work for just brass, he only later made a second version expanded for concert band.
