i have a samsung jet and the display is stunning - now i bought a n900 which has a standard tft-screen and i am disappointed. its not bad, but its not awesome like AMOLED.

AMOLED is more vivid and has a sharper picture while it consumes less energy. its a win-win-situation.

amoled (active matrix / organic led) is great technology they need to start putting it in tv's but atm its only cost effective on small screen sizes such as phones. in the future it will be in tv's which means amazing picture quality (and also computers which means better gaming). all hail the future!
