@locustsymphony you are right but the signal may be too weak to play, i see you are canadian so perhaps there is a repeater somewhere for that station.. Try searching for a canadian repeater for the station on google.
Thanks so much for your reply. That does help me with what I wanted to know. This radio receives GREAT reviews online. It looks like many SWL's really like this one. I'm going to pick on up and try it out. Thanks again!
I was considering buying one of these radios; however, your video doesn't show me anything. Most of what you pull in has alot of interference and you're not telling us how far away these stations are from you. If you could review this radio and perhaps explain the controls a bit as you use them, that would be a tremendous help. Thanks!
I live in Vancouver BC.I listen radio in concrete hi-rise building. By the frequency and name radio station (620 KPOJ) you can easy figure out how faraway station from Vancouver. Just write on Google 620AM KPOJ and you will find Portland 620 AM Progressive talk. If you want to know my opinion about this receiver than from many radios what I have (Super Radio I, Sony ICF-EX5, Panasonic -888 etc) it is one of the sensitive and selective radio receiver. -----
From concrete building I received a lot of stations from different places and some of them faraway from Vancouver San Francisco, Idaho, Saskatchewan etc. You can expect better result if you living in suburban or listen radios outdoor. Receiver has synchronous detection and step 1 kHz. For AM it is huge benefit. It is allow me to pick up weak and strong signal near to each other and separate from cluster of noise (local) station.
In the movie I just jump from station to station that I selected on memory. To select better quality of the signal, takes more time. For ten min, it is very hard.
Well, not precisely cell phones (I think that's impossible), just normal cordless earpieces telephones. Changing theme, what place are you located in?
I cant tell you if I received cell phone signals. I received HAM radio and I skipped them away. By lack of city and concrete building I dont use short wave, to much interference. Your story is interesting and I try to find out about that.

Good receiver can pick up MW stations faraway at night, sometime from thousand kilometers.
In Canada from Vancouver I can get stations from San Francisco, Saskatchewan, Calgary etc.
I got three or four Spanish speaking broadcast stations, and I have no idea location of them.

Hello,
I have one of these great radios, but I'm new using it. Please let me know if I'm using it correctly!
I am interested in listening to French, so I'll input 3285 (FR3 Cayenne, French Guiana).
I make sure it's in AM mode, then press 'Direct", then '3285' then EXE. I always get static!
Am I doing it right? Or is it the radio? Thanks a lot.
