damn right bigdades.... miles, coltrane, monk, hubbard, jarreau, parker, duke, bud powell, herbie hancock, billie, ella, count, etc....what is this enormous and significant contribution (may i say..invention) by black artists to the jazz scene? We must be deeply indebted to them.

Jazz is certainly one of the greatest contributions african american people did to XX Century's Art history. God bless them for that.
