Such lovely dogs! I visited a friend's house on the English-Scottish border this w-end and they have an amazing Deerhound. Never in my life have I met such a gentle and lovely dog. He would just come and lay next to me while I was watching TV and he was so happy to meet me for the first time. I want one!!
I have never seen a deerhound chase a lure like it means it, thay are just playing. Its nice to get them out for the exercise and a good social event but not showing the reason those dogs came about. Would love to see a pre ban video of a fit deerhound chasing down and pulling down a large deer over some of the worst rocky ground any dog will work on (the scottish highlands) or even the hill hare coursing, someone must have footage of the old deerhound club coursing??

@panostsak There are game reserves in the highlands. It would be pretty bad if people couldn't even catch there own food anymore.
