  • left wing is right, lol... play on words AND the statement... the left wing is NEVER right...

  • Gibbs won Cenk lost

  • This video is awesome. Cenk is on a rampage!

  • Gibbs you give Auburn and the entire state of Alabama a bad name everytime you open your mouth, glad you are resigning.

  • Umm, Titty, are you a serious or just antagonizing? Hussein is so common a name in Islamic areas it's like Smith, to prove how common it is, the US's mideast enemy(former ally) had it as a last name, then a POTUS had it as a middle name. Obama isn't even liberal, let alone communist, believing in social programs doesn't make someone even a socialist, let alone a communist. Do you truly believe what you type? Cause outside the US, that might get you committed to a rubber room.

  • Cenk, let's just all shut up and blindly follow our elected leaders. The Democratic leadership just wants useful idiots like the righties have. They want biased, partisan morons who will support their hypocritical, mind changing, corrupt and weak agenda. So let's get with the program.

Pocket change, LOL. That was a good one.

  • @atlsam1 Probably the most intelligent comment I've read all month

  • Obama did stop torture. He just didn't at least make some symbolic gesture at investigation. Obama's record on gay marriage is clear, and similar to his thoughts on abortion. Doesn't like it, but doesn't think it's his, or the gov'ts business. Will the american right ever understand why we (Canada, among other countries) mock you and FNC/talkradio for? Even your liberals aren't liberal. Cenk's a mix, in Canada we'd call him a PC. (porgressive conservative). No libs want communism. Get over it.

  • @Seskal Hussein Obama is a fundamental communist. NO IF ANDS OR BUTS ABOUT IT. His thoughts onabortion are to stab a 6 month old living human in the back of the skull with a pair of scissors killing it and then disgarding that child in a trash can. This pathetic waste of human flesh stands for everything liberal and it is horrifying that people actually think the same way. At least liberals are killing their own gene pool.

  • You liberals are really fucking stupid. You voted for a communist and now are unhappy? It's the same thing Rahm did with Clinton but it is impossible for Hussein to move to the middle. It is even clear to this tool that Hussein Obama is a piece of shit. Fucking stupid ass liberals, get the fuck out!

  • @tiitytat

You're a total fucking moron. Stay away from words you don't understand, like "communist" and "liberals."

  • @pwestify call yourself whatever you want. Progressive, liberal, democrat it is all the communist party. Either you see that or you are just a poor naive soal

  • Obama did not stop torture!!

  • Obama's against gay marriage?

  • Cenk has Stopped Using "President Pocket Change" ,...But I'm Going to try and Keep it Alive!...

  • WTF, is your problem? Too much algebra homework? Mommy made you eat your veggies?

    KMA!!

  • @MrRightAllTime

WTF is your major malfuction? Mommy's calling you for dinner asshole.

  • Example of your propoganda: Spreading that Robert Gibbs slammed progessives. He did NOT! He spoke out against the PROFESSIONAL left. I watched TV and listened to radio & heard how u nutjobs/xtremists began spreading the LIE that he slammed progessives. He did NOT! I watched it. He spoke the truth & if he SLAMMED anyone it was the PROFESSIONAL LEFT (bloggers, TV & radio personalities) NOT regular every day Democrats b/c MOST of them do NOT agree with u nutjobs who r shockjocks look'g for FAME!

  • @manyara02 So are you mad at media personalities or everyday progressives/liberals who simply want the country to be a better place to live in? You can't seem to make up your mind.

  • @ToTheConquered My mind is made up. What u don't seem to understand is that there IS a difference btwn reasonable Democrats & extreme leftist propagandists or should I say the professional LEFT & Robert Gibbs was clear about that. All Democrats do not believe what some of the professional left commentators/bloggers/reporters believe. That's a FACT! I know too many Democrats who r VERY supportive of Pres Obama & the Democratic Party!

  • @manyara02 Of course, extreme liberals propagandists are bad for the country, but who exactly is one? Who are these people you are so afraid of?

  • As a progressive I have the responsibility to speak out and try to make the world a better place, as utopic and improbable as that may sound. THAT is why it is not only my right, but it is MY OBLIGATION to speak out against ANY leader who is pursuing the wrong policies, political calculations be damned. It is regrettable that most people in this country are either too self-centered or gullible to do the same. I lived through 8 years of Bush sh*t. I don't think anything could be worse than that.

  • As Eisenhower said: ‎"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws [..] you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. [..] Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politici ...an or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."

So good luck with that GOP, and good riddance!

  • @spanishinterpreter I'll say it again! I and others think Gibbs was right & u & noone else is going to change that. I listened to the nutjobs on the left last yr & hrd how they tore into the president day in & day out. Whining & bitching abt how the Democrats govern, is FUTILE! Insulting & tearing down the leader of UR party is STUPID. If u're REALLY more than just a "typical" moaning, complaining, complacent, demanding & unreasonable American, run for office or SHUT UP! Now, that's that!

  • @spanishinterpreter If Liberals don't wake up & c America thru the eyes of so many of us, u will pay heavily at the polls. It will happen out of PURE ignorance & arrogance. Anyone, of ANY party, who thinks they can spew negative info & create suspicions, abt the leader of their party & leaders within their party, all day long & not hv people JUMP SHIP, is an absolute MORON! Educating people about the FACTS is one thing. Spewing unproven INNUENDO & personal opinions all day, will cost u..for sure!

  • Manyara you're an idiot. Jon Stewart said it best. Republicans are as*holes and Democrats are pus*ies. I would add that Republicans are also big fat lying liars, and Democrats need to grow a pair like Alan Grayson and tell it like it is. It's time for the White House to start properly delivering the message on all of its many accomplishments, and countering all the right wing lies and misinformation. Gibbs is a moron and Auburn sucks. Roll tide and F*** the GOP.

  • @spanishinterpreter Calling names doesn't help. The only things I have seen is Dems numbers just continued to sink b/c left wing nutjobs don't support the leadership in their own party & can't read the writing on the tea leaves & realize Independents, like myself, have turned from the Democratic Party, in droves. Why? B/C they're scared & hear those who voted for Pres Obama bash him & spew innuendo, suspicions & negative info day in & day out! Wake up, people! We r in a devastating RECESSION!

  • @spanishinterpreter I don't give a damn what Jon Stewart says. He's a comedian NOT a politician & this is not a playground.Calling Democrats & the President names will not help Democratic causes! What Liberals don't get is the heart of an Independent. Many of my friends vote Republican b/c even if they rn't the best at governing, they make them FEEL safe! FOX & conservative talk radio support Republicans.People can laugh but that MATTERS! We r in a "untypical" recession & it's easy to jump ship!

  • @batangwaray1 What? Ummm....Bush? What does he have to do with liberals wanting to socialize America.

  • There's a perfect place for liberals Cuba.

  • We are the Progressives, and you will be assimilated. Your government and individual distinctiveness will be added to ours. Resistance is futile.

  • @geofiles All this talk of Liberal, Conservative...when, in fact, during the general ALL of them will move to the middle b/c regardless of what u xtremists say, MOST Americans r in the middle!

  • I predict that when Republicans take over both houses, progressive talk is going to lose its importance with a great number of people. Why? You people don't have credibility. A Democratic president is damned if he does & damned if he doesn't. Sometimes, I really wish Pres. Obama would've been a Republican President b/c he would've had their full support during this most difficult, unprecedented time in our history. Pres. Reagan dealt with 10.8% unemployment ('82) & Republicans stood with him.

  • Gibbs is absolutely RIGHT! Cenk & others like him r nothing but shock jocks. This is not a dictatorship. We have checks & balances just as our forefathers intended. Given the ignorance I have witnessed over the last 1-1/2 year during Pres. Obama's time in office, I hope Republicans take over the House & maybe the Senate. Then, you leftist nutjobs will shut up & line up & get with the program. Just maybe, you'll also GROW UP!! And Cenk, Pres Obama is more of a man than you will ever be!

  • The problem with the far left is that they want everything all at once and that's just not the way life works..not in politics, not in everyday life. Everyone in our country did NOT want universal healthcare. Just like everyone didn't want Social Security to pass. Pres Roosevelt had to deal with that. Most women & minorities were not granted Social Security or Unemployment Insurance during the Depression. My grandmother, a black woman & others like her didn't get Social Security until 1950s.

  • Watching the left bitching at each other is rather delightful. You may also get that between social conservatives and libertarians, but this is just hysterical.

  • Cenk for president

  • @DavidMadsen OMG! No way, Cenk is far too temperamental, judgmental & unwilling to understand the complexities involved in politics. It's easy to sit on the sidelines & try to call the game but without expertise, any a**hole can do that. But, where is the credibility. Everyone's trying to make a name for him/herself & they're going to lose in the long run. Once Democrats lose the House & Senate, what r u people going to do? Take up this topic: How our immaturity brought down the nation!

  • @manyara02 I think Cenk has a great judgement, so I don't mind him beeing judgemental. And about lacking the expertise about how things are done there...Cenk would just "beat them with a stick...they will do"

  • @DavidMadsen BULL! Do u think ANY of the Democrat or Republicans would be afraid of Cenk? R u kidding me? Do u really think Democrats or Republicans r afraid of Alan Grayson. HAHAHAHA! He's one of the newest & loudest voices in Congress. He doesn't really hv any clout....maybe with some liberals. But when it comes to getting his pieces of legislation passed, he'll either "play ball" like the rest of 'em, or he'll be a failure during his term as congressman. It's REALITY not Peter Pan!!!

  • @manyara02 ...that's something I'd like to call --"speculation"--

  • Comment removed

  • Gibbs is Obama's mouthpiece and both have been aware that Congress will turn Republican. This is about 2012 and saving the Obama brand. This was not Obama's fault, it was the Democrat Congress that suck!!! Obama didn't really want health care and he campaigned on War in Afghanistan, so liberals should stop their bellyaching. Hopefully, Obama will drop the crazy Left and come back to the Obama-Republicans! Hopefully Bloomberg can straighten Obama out! The one good thing about Obama is golf!

  • @Calsummersishere "Obama didn't really want health care and he campaigned on War in Afghanistan, so liberals should stop their bellyaching"

Let me get this straight... because Obama didn't campaign on anything actual liberal, then liberals-who may not have even voted for him in the first place- should respectfully waive their first amendment rights and shut up?

I'm certainly glad you weren't designing the bill of rights.

  • Canadian health-care is fucking awesome

  • @comerbp82 you've obviously never used it, I have, being that I'm Canadian.

  • @benzomelon a Canadian w/ an Obama joker face avatar which has United States as his location... can't say your merit much credit brah

  • @comerbp82 lots of canadians live in the states. We usually come here when were fed up with canadian taxes and lousy healthcare. It is possible to be of another nationality and live in other countries. Are you really that dumb?

  • @benzomelon I didn't say you weren't originally Canadian, and I know for a fact you didn't leave Canada because of healthcare and taxes, you're full of shit.

  • @comerbp82 you're an idiot

  • @benzomelon from the lips of a fool...

  • @benzomelon You're not Canadian.

  • Keep giving it to them Cenk!

WE real progressives know when we are being had by obama & his cronies.

Obama cheerleaders from D.U., BEWARE we are coming for u and we won't take a bush light and call it a budweiser just because we are too ASHAMED to admit it LIKE YOU ARE. People like PROSENSE and the rest who constantly excuse and defend obama's right wing actions. we are gonna fight instead of being right wing uncle toms like you saying "yeessirr" everytime progrssive change is killed by obama.

  • @chadmak09 Liberals, ALONE, don't elect presidents. America does & we r a culmination of parties with some extremists on both sides of the Democratic & Conservative Party. But don't forget Independents are growing in large numbers & b/c of our politics, we will b more likely to vote for those with a message (less negative messaging), less drama & those who r PRAGMATIC?Xtremists will rarely get our vote! But b/c Repubs r more organized & stick to a msg, they will b likely to win more races!

  • gibbs is bull shittin...progressives r scary...apparently eat their own.

  • He's comin' to your house, Gibbs!

  • Listen Cent you stupid fuck, we all know your bias towards Obama, money hungry shill. Obama still allows tourture and if you dont know that, as a so called 'journalist'. YOU SHOULDN'T BE REPORING SHIT.

  • YOUR A LOONYTOON TYT

YOU DONT EVEN MAKE ANY CENTS

  • HAHAHA cant wait till Robert Gibbs goes Jet Blue on the press room, becasue his covering for his boss.

  • Gibbs is ok. I think he's alright.

  • Sign petition to Pres. Obama to fire Robert Gibbs

    change.org/petitions/view/dear_president_obama_show_progressives_you_care_by_firing_robert_gibbs

  • @spanishinterpreter Stop wasting ur time. Obama is NOT going to fire Gibbs and he shouldn't! Gibbs told the absolute truth. Liberals will cut off their nose to spite their faces until the end of days. As a group, they will not gain respect of conservaties b/c they don't know how to stick together to ensure their directives r met, in the long run. They're impatient, childlike & embrace a philosophy about grown up life, much like Peter Pan! It's simply not REAL!

  • @halcyon0830 I guess u've witnessed the torture & inhumanity xperienced by some around the world. OMG! It's treason! It's heresy! It's blasphemy! It's NOT true!

  • Gibbs should be fired

  • @fashizze Robert Gibbs is the MAN! I luv him! He tells it like it IS! Yeah! Besides, u don't want him to leave & be promoted to an advisory position. Do u? B careful what u ask for! hahahahaha! The truth hurt but it will make us free when the blinders r removed from our eyes & the plugs from our ears.

  • obama had my vote in 08... he will not have it again. and guess what, i am not the only one

  • @jumar1281 Oh well. U don't hv to vote for Obama. U can just as easily vote for a Republican who may share ur values. It's simple! That doesn't really require much discussion. Just hope u aren't one of those who got angry with Pres Carter & voted for Reagan. Fooled, were u? Jobs left the country in huge numbers, etching down the middle class like never b4, providing amnesty to illegals for cheap labor...but he & the FED did make sure people cld borrow from their homes to make them feel "richer"

  • @manyara02

i was in kindergarten when reagan was elected... i really don't support obama anymore. i will not vote democrat or republican ever again. if Cynthia Mckinney runs, she has my vote

  • Obama & Robert Gibbs & Whitehouse ALWAYS have a Neocon/Zionist/GOP cock in their mouth 24/7 and a Corporate/Banker/WarIndustry/Blackwater/Oil/Lobbyists cock up their ass 24/7.

THEY ARE TRAITORS TO AMERICA, TO ALL THEIR VOTERS AND TO EVERY PERSON WHO CARES ABOUT THE TRUTH.

  • @halcyon0830 sounds very childlike & unreasonable! Every president in our nation "plays ball" & if u don't know that, you don't KNOW the truth! Banks run this country & have for over 50 years. Don't think, otherwise. They hold the purse strings. They're holding up lending now to stick it to the White House & Congress for daring to pass legislation they believe, unlike yourself, will cause them to pay more in taxes. An economy runs, most effectively, when banks lend to everyday people.

  • @halcyon0830 In the words of one of our founding fathers, "What is practical must often control what is pure theory and the habits of the governed determine in a great degree what is practice." Although Jefferson wanted to limit the power of the executive branch, he did not hesitate to increase the power of the executive in order to overshadow the outside growing threats of power.Propoganda is what u spew. How sad! U'll hv less people listening when Repubs win. Maybe u'll b happy. Who knows?

  • This is how he says "Wut you smok'n dude?"

  • Eliminating the pentagon would save a lot of money. The U.S Military shows pretty poor results for the $1 trillion that's spent on it. It would make sense to get rid of it.

  • How much do want to bet Rahm Emanuel pushed Gibbs into this?

  • @bluesboy25000 I'm from IL and I like Rahm. Most times, I must say, I agree with him. I don't like his language usage. However, when he gets past the vulgarity, he's got something to say. He's not new to government. He served under Pres Clinton & he knows how things r done. He told Pres Obama NOT to touch healthcare. Obama wld be better off had he listened to Rahm but Obama was led by his heart, not his mind. He didn't hv to suffer in the polls & many, who will benefit, don't appreciate it!

  • This honestly makes me upset because I was a fervent Obama supporter in 2008 and was on his email list and encouraged my friends to vote(I myself was too young to vote I was 17 turned 18 a month after) and this is the thanks we get? Meanwhile, he gives concession after concession to the Republicans for the dumbest things while when we put the slightest bit of pressure on him, he flicks his nose at us. I honestly am done with Obama. Howard Dean 2012

  • @bluesboy25000 I made phone calls for Pres Obama & I am on his email list & my friends & I are still avid supporters. As are many of us. Howard Dean isn't running for Pres, my dear. Pat Buchanan tried running against George H.W. Bush & split the Republican vote & Clinton won the presidency. Ted Kennedy tried running against Jimmy Carter & Reagan, who was down in the polls, won the presidency. The problem w/liberals is it's ALL emotion! It can't be in politics or in life. Change takes TIME!

  • This is the main difference between democrats and republicans. Its not policy, its not constituency. The main difference between republicans and democrats is that republicans get shit done, whether or not they are in power. Democrats can have the whole playing field and suddenly they're afraid to go for anything. As a left winger, it breaks my heart.

  • @adavidpirtle I don't believe Democrats r afraid of doing anything. They believe in the Constitution & effective government, which requires working across the aisle. They have always done that. That's who they are. Republicans r not that way. The end justifies the means with them. However, I wouldn't vote for Democrats if they became so cynical, ruthless & childlike. I xpect my government officials to work together & compromise until they can't anymore. That's uniquely American not GOP-like!

  • @manyara02 Which is wonderful in theory, but if the Republicans are 'not that way', then with whom do you expect the democrats to 'work across the aisle'? If you only work on a bi-partisan basis and the other party doesn't, then all you'll accomplish are the things the other party wants. Sometimes you have to push what you need through in spite of those who disagree. That's why they call it a bully pulpit.

  • @adavidpirtle If Obama & the Democrats wld have shoved massive legislation, like health care down the throats of Republicans, they wldnt've had any chance of getting Republican support but they would've LOST the support of Conservative Democrats. That's reality! There r Democrats who win races in conservative areas. I lived in one of those districts years ago. Conservative is conservative. It's simple as that! If u people want Democrats to win in conservative areas, u need to understand that!

  • U mean like Lyndon Johnson who served from 1937-1964 b4 passing Civil Rights Act? He didn't use the bully pulpit. He blckmailed people who didn't support it. He cld a House members black mistress to inform her of his opposition to the bill &the call was transferrd to the "coat room" where he was talked into signing on by the mistress. Johnson was, quietly, threatening him. Obama-a 1st term US Senator; it takes time to learn people's SECRETS. If people wanted a cutthroat, Clinton was the choice!

  • But then, not enuf Republicans would've voted for Hillary Clinton & Democratic Leadership understood that. Besides, only drama was going to come of that nomination with our former Pres Clinton's baggage & xtra marital affairs. Hell, things were coming out during the campaign, for heaven's sake. Liberals r either going to grow up or live in the desert for some years to come. While their ignorance & arrogance, propel Republicans to power to "repeal" Democratic programs thruout the nation!

  • This is nothing but a head fake by barry, you simpletons are supposed to take from this that barry is really a "Centrist"

  • Comment removed

  • Cenk just doesn't get it. He has good intentions...but like practically all centrists, which is to say all Democrats and Republicans, he fails to understand that any political ideology which does not respect personal property rights, that is to say your natural rights as laid out by Locke and enshrined in the Declaration and Constitution, will ALWAYS turn into what you don't want. It will ALWAYS become state sanctioned violence, theft, deceit, murder, and extortion. Both parties - wake up!

  • @chuska8383 I've noticed that everyone that ends a statement with "wake up!" doesn't make much sense.

  • @KidOmniMan Then allow me to make myself more clear. I assume the part that is confusing is why it is that the political doctrines of today on both sides of the aisle necessarily abolish personal property rights, correct?

  • @chuska8383 I doubt we will ever agree, but let me ask you why property rights are so important to you anyway?

And speaking of things we were taught in our youths how about working together and sharing for everyone's benefit?

  • @KidOmniMan If you do not have property rights, no other rights can truly exist. If a group of people has the "right" to a portion of your property, wages, and even life savings which can change over time if it is "needed" for the "common good" then you do not own your body and the fruits of your labor de jure but only de facto and only by the amount your masters deem appropriate. There is nothing wrong with sharing. However, involuntary altruism isn't altruism at all - it is theft.

  • @chuska8383 Roads, drinking water, protection from your house burning down, your country not being invaded because there is an army, your education which I am starting to wonder if it was worth the money, are all things that you get in exchange for that money being "forcibly" taken from you.

Everything you have every had or any luxury you have experienced is a direct result of you living in society which taxes pay for, it's not perfect but it's better than living in the woods uneducated.

  • @KidOmniMan Think about what you are saying. The money and resources which were used to build the infrastructure you talk about was all taken from the private sector. Do you really think the private sector is unable to provide such services to the public when all the things required to build them come from the private sector in teh first place? By definition, what is built by the public sector equates to resources which would have otherwise been spent on things the market needed most. See?

  • @chuska8383 Well, let's see! In Chicago, our parking meters r run by a private company. It is failing! In fact, the government official whose idea it was to privatize them, lost his job b/c of ALL the complaints from the public abt how the private company was/is doing business. When meters broke, it took longer for them to b fixed; parking was more limited than ever b4 & many tickets issued. The government kept them working with our tax dollars. Parking rates are up, also. Government 4 me!

  • @KidOmniMan If slavery is defined as one group of people claiming they have the "right" to another group's property and labor, wherein interactions are involuntary, then statists typically admit we are slaves to the federal government. If a slavemaster gives his slaves gifts and rewards paid for by that which he stole from his slaves, what is going on is still slavery merely with a dash of bribery. A slave, no matter how well treated, is still a slave. The slavemaster, still immoral.

  • @chuska8383 What is really stupid is when the slaves don't say much & rn't concerned when the slavemaster gives other slavemasters, of their own class, what belongs to the slaves. That's not only IMMORAL...IT'S IDIOTIC!!!

  • @KidOmniMan Have you ever wondered why it is that you don't pay for only the roads you use as you use them? Or only fund public schools when you or your dependents are using the system? Why it is that you can't opt out of social security and legally forego future benefits? Because if there is no choice, then it is more difficult to ascertain what is going on. It is easier to think of the state as kind and benevolent even while it is bankrupting you, selling your children into debt, etc.

  • @chuska8383 did u reach the realization that the country was bankrupt just within the last year? I'm curious. When Reagan ran up a deficit, raised taxes & sent jobs overseas were u concerned abt ur children's welfare? How about when George H.W. Bush ran up a deficit & raised taxes? Did u shout for joy when Bill Clinton balanced the budget? Were u disgusted when George W. ran up trillions of dollars of debt by giving huge tax cuts to the top 2% while this country was busy fighting wars? Y or N?

  • That's easy. B/C, as Americans, we are free to travel wherever we so choose to travel, we then are all required to pay for those services we use referred to as "the commons:" roads, fire department, police department, schools, etc. If my house is burning down but I can't afford firefighter services to come put out the fire, why should ur house, next door, burn to the ground? You're talking xtreme ideology that simply isn't practical. Certainly, is not reality! It's Peter Pan talk!

  • @manyara02 Since nationalizing our school system, has our education system gotten better or worse? Many fire departments are private. Before the subsidized federal interstates our road system worked sufficiently. Do the police have any sort of incentive whatsoever whether they do a good job or not? Whether they save the victim or cower behind their squad car "containing" the crime while the innocents are slaughtered? No, they do not. This is not extreme ideology, its your founding fathers!

  • @chuska8383 In both Thomas Jefferson's 6th & 8th Annual Messages, Jefferson invited Congress to consider the application of surplus revenues "to the improvement of roads, canals, rivers, education, and other great foundations of prosperity and union, under the powers which Congress may already posses, or such amendment of the constitution as may be approved by the states." U don't know what u're talkg abt. U're simply repeatg talking points & that's not only silly but DANGEROUS!

  • @chuska8383 Furthermore, I no of NO private fire departments. Where r they? I know there r volunteers within fire depts but that does NOT make them privatized. Again, your xtreme ideology isn't practical & I must refer to one of our founding father's words, Thomas Jefferson, "What is practical must often control what is pure theory, and the habits of the governed determine in a great degree what is practice." There u go! Americans r tired of xtreme ideological failures built on THEORY.

  • @KidOmniMan It also furthers their objective which is to control you. Does the government have to spend the money they collect on social security on social security, public schools for public schools, like for like? Of course not. It all becomes a giant slush fund from which absolutely nobody has personal responsibility. The goal is to convert the treasury into a trough and enlarge the trough as much as possible to then buy and bribe others for more power. Do you not realize this?

  • @chuska8383 I've heard this libertarian propaganda before. It's like listening to someone argue that food isn't what sustains us it's just what we are addicted to. The state works for the citizens that get involved and use their influence, the problem is the people who use their influence more effectively are in the private sector with profit motives. It seems their propaganda has turned you away from the one thing that can work for and protect the people, which is government.

  • @chuska8383 You know parts of Somalia doesn't have any government, maybe you would be happier there where people have resorted to piracy to feed their families. Maybe you just need to look in a history book at other places where there wasn't government and see how that worked out for people. Look at native Americans, they didn't have a government that they had to pay taxes to, it didn't work out well for them.

  • @KidOmniMan No, statist, you simply don't understand because you can't envision a system of governance that respects your natural rights. You have been lied to your whole life by other people who have been lied to. The function of government is to protect your natural rights. That's it! Everything else is illegitimate and immoral unless voluntarily entered, ie followed by expressed consent. All the places you mention also don't respect natural rights - two sides of the same statist coin.

  • @chuska8383 I'm assuming Statist is a person believes government is better than no government, am i correct?

Natural rights? You were talking about property rights earlier, do you have a natural right to property?

I'm amused enough to ask what you believe your natural rights are and where these rights come from?

ThePunkPatriot does a very good video about where rights come from if you're interested and he states it much better than I could in text. I'll watch a video in return if you wish.

  • @KidOmniMan Statist is a person who believes the government has the right to take anything and everything it wants from the individual for the "common good" (defined by the state, of course!). Natural rights are life, liberty, and personal property. You're American, you should know this. You mock my education yet you don't even know the teachings of John Locke! Where do my rights come from? Read your Declaration of Independence, man!

  • @chuska8383 I'm Canadian, actually, and not a statist by that definition. The Declaration of Independence says the rights are endowed to each person by their creator, did your mothers uterus give you your rights? Your fathers testicles? God? Aliens maybe? It really doesn't specify.

The American public are consenting to their shitty government by not voting and voting for parties that don't have their best interests at heart. The problem isn't the government, it's the population.

  • @KidOmniMan Ah, well if you're Canadian then please accept my apologies, I assumed you were American. I agree with you that the American people are the problem. I am an Atheist and don't believe rights come from gods. I do, however, hold the natural rights to be self evident. They are as much a part of me and every other human being as their limbs or skeleton. I can not adequately explain this in a youtube comment. Check out John Locke's 2nd Treatise on Government. You might like it.

  • @KidOmniMan I would, however, point out that you are a statist because you think it is legitimate that a government may lay claim to citizen's property, liberty, and therefore directly or indirectly life as well without expressed consent. Such thinking is not congruent with Enlightenment thinking and true Republican and Constitutional government. This may be irrelevant to you since you're Canadian - I'm not very familiar with your country's history and base core philosophy.

  • @chuska8383 Great philosophy if you're a land owner.

  • @adavidpirtle I don't own any land. No, morality is always the best philosophy. The same things that we were taught in our youths are still applicable today, it is just that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats want to admit it. Don't hit, don't steal. The important thing to remember with all policies from the left or right is that they are 1) involuntary and 2) require one group of people to take your property. Hence, the country becomes a fractured mass of people looting each other.

  • @chuska8383 Most Republicans in the Congress r NOT centrists. They left that station a long time ago. Liberals,so desperately, want Democrats to behave like the Republicans behave/d. Republicans do NOT believe that government can do much of ANYTHING right. Whereas, Democrats believe government can not only do things right but that it is, uniquely positioned, to do a large number of things right. I have NEVER heard a Democrat speak of "drowning the government" in a tub (Grover Norquist).

  • Politicians do what politicians do. Use people to get elected and then throw the people that elected them under the bus!!!!! That's the Republican and Democratic parties in a nutshell.

You put them first and they put you last!!!!!!

  • @tray04will Pres Obama is the most consistent politician I have ever voted for in my lifetime. The problem with too many people is 1) they didn't listen to what he said during the campaign about the wars, healthcare 2) they didn't watch his reactions to controversy close enough 3) they thought they'd CHANGE a 47 year old man 4) they didn't see him 5) they only saw & heard what they wanted AND 6) what they didn't want to hear, they chose to tune out. Obama hasn't changed. People r just demandg!

  • Cenk kicked ass in this one

  • BOOOM!!!!!!

  • Clearly the puppet masters who control Obama have no more use for him, so they're alienating their own base and the neo-cons will get their man in 2012 and we will be in Iran. I guess they figure they need a som1 that neo-cons can connect with on social issues as well as the wars. Of course if all the neo-cons cared about was the wars, then Obama would be there man, but they need a strong base before they go into Iran. Plus it helps to feed the beasts on both sides of the aisle.

  • Obama has dissappointed a lot of people by not walking his talk

  • well, what gibbs says does have some merit. the ones who are making most of the noise on the left can be grouped as the so called "professional left" aka the pundits on channels like the huffington post etc.... there was a recent poll that was shown on msnbc that showed 76% of liberals were pleased with what obama has done so far, while 15% are displeased. So it would seems as if this 15% are the ones making most of the noise

  • Dear Professional Left,

We hope you are enjoying the hope and change that was promised to you in 2008. We did our best to give you a candidate that wasn't named Hillary Clinton who would make you be proud to be a Leftist. He promised you a Single Payer Health Care System, but failed to even give you a Public Option. He promised to go after Wall Street Bankers, but only gave them more bailouts. We wish you better luck in your next opportunity in 16 years.

    - Your Friends,

    The Right Wing

  • Another thing that annoys me about Cenk Beck. He criticizes Gibbs for not articulating his position then espouse meaningless sloganism like "that sound like pocket change". what is he working for the fucking RNC, you know he was a Republican before he started doing this. Now he's committed to turning the base against party with a call for a public option THAT HE DOESN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND!, and a call to rewrite patent law as part of healthcare reform. Curious isn't it?!

  • @schmokay

Yes, it is obvous Cenk was a Republican (in his youth).... because he often talks about what a mistake it was.

Did you know I was a Republican in my youth? Just like Cenk. And we both learned and matured in life, eventually becoming more reasonable and better informed.

  • @dtorfleming

I spent my 1st 8 voting years as a registered Republican. Know when I left the Party? When George Bush won the Republican Primary in 2000. I was highly unsatisfied to begin with, but that was the final nail in the coffin.

  • obama didnt stop tourture dipshit!

  • Who cares what Robert Gibbs says, he couldnt tell a progressive from a toaster.

  • Canadian Health Care system would not work in America. Capitalism is too entrenched in that industry. Capitalism turns into greed when left unchecked, then it becomes the status quo ...just look at the financial industry. It's hard to change a culture of greed with arguments of compassion.

Capitalism and compassion rarely work well together.

    :P

  • Gibbs is still an idiot loon that hates America, just like Cenk, Obama and all the other libs

  • Gibbs has always been an asshole, he is a liabilty and to have him as charge of press is laughable

  • geez, you finally said something I can get behind

  • I think this video should show that voting for your actual principles is the only way to end this nonsense. We have to reject the "lesser of two evils" argument.

Obama ended his support for single payer long before he was elected. He has been pro-war from the beginning and the majority of the "anti-war" left is silent on these issues now.

But where are TYT videos about war crimes being committed since Obama has been in office?

  • I just went to the doctor today for free, I didn't need a loan to get my medication, and my mother makes a good salary working as a nurse, tell me again what's wrong with canadian health care >_<

  • @shruberz There's plenty wrong with it. It's not "free". People are denied surgeries and end up going to the states for them. If its so great why are there illegal underground, for-profit clinics popping up?

From a moral standpoint, why should taxpayers subsidize someone's healthcare if they take risks with their health?

you can't ask the government to stay out your life when it comes to drugs or sexual behavior, then demand they be involved in your healthcare.

  • @VictoryCough I'm fully aware that it's not free, however I would rather pay taxes to the government than premiums to a bunch of death profiteers.

Nobody is denied surgeries, people who are not in a life threatening situation may have to wait, but everything is done. And I've yet to hear of any "underground clinics" yes there are some private clinics but only for non-essential services.

From a moral standpoint, why should people with less money not get treatment, are their lives worth less.

  • @shruberz So are doctors death profiteers? After all, they make a hefty amount of money to treat the sick and dying. Shirley Heely had a blocked artery that kept her from digesting food, she lost 50 lbs and the Canadian govt labeled that surgery as elective! By the time she sought out private for profit treatment in WA state she was so malnourished her doctor said she could die in weeks!

In the US we've run charitable hospitals into the ground with our high prices and insurance based system.

  • @VictoryCough

Canada is not perfect, but we recognize mistakes and in most cases try to resolve them to make the system better.

All of the US health care is not bad. Many breakthroughs in surgeries and medication happen in the US, but there is a disparity of basic equality of the person that needs to be addressed.

In Canada If you are sick, you get treatment based on medical need determined by a Doctor, not what is in your bank account, or who you know.

    :P

  • @VictoryCough Also, why should taxpayers subsidize the fire trucks for people who smoke, they are taking a risk and have a higher chance of burning down their homes. Oh right, because fire can spread.....Wait a second, so can infectious disease....hmmmm

  • @shruberz These are clearly two separate issues, but I think people should take personal responsibility and pay for their own mistakes.

It is not unheard for local fire departments to bill people for things like preventable electrical fires and fires caused by cigarettes

  • @VictoryCough

I do not disagree with your view, but that line of personal responsibility should be debated in the courts in my opinion. We call them laws up here in Canada.

I know in my municipality in Canada if a fire is caused because the building was not up to code, the landlord gets fined, as well as yourself depending on the cause. But you are not expected to pay the full reimbursement to the local FD. That can lead to corruption, it goes back into the municipality.

    :P

  • I think the Pentagon should be eliminated. How many more people do they have to kill, how many more countries do they have to destroy, how many more people do they have to torture, how many more Americans do they need to spy on, how many more false-flags do they have to create before it's 'okay' to question their function and indeed their place in our society? Fuck your cultural 'taboos' - I long for the day when the Pentagon is no longer welcome in our society, no longer funded by society.

  • I’m ultra conservative and although I disagree with liberals on their beliefs, I can respect them for having beliefs. But what I can’t respect is someone who votes for a guy based on those beliefs, but still continues to stick up for him even after he has shown his true colors. If I were a liberal and voted for Obama, I would be pissed. At least Cenk has enough intellectual honesty to call Obama on these issues. I respect that.

  • @mytube373 no arguments with you. any politician should follow through with their promises, whether conservative or liberal. any people should call out people in their own party instead of blindly going along with whatever they say. anybody who follows obama blindly or followed bush blindly is an idiot, pure and simple

  • Look how ginned up he's getting. That's why he's not trying to listen to this noise. Only guys like this would call getting 80% of what you want as a loss. Crying hard. Whaaa!

  • Yeah, well Gibbs can take his fake moderate bullshit and shove it up his ass.

  • @ToTheConquered yeah, Gibby sucks. Our electorate seems to suck a whole lot, too.

  • @ToTheConquered Far too many far leftists go on and on about how Pres. Roosevelt got the job done & got what he wanted. BULL!. When, in fact, Roosevelt had to answer to the Congress just like all of the other presidents & although he signed the Social Security Act into law on Aug 14, 1935, my grandmother, a black woman & others like her didn't get Social Security until the 1950's. Roosevelt chose not to scrap the bill. Thank God he didn't. He dealt with the reality of his day just as Obama.

  • @ToTheConquered Gibbs is absolutely correct! Nutjobs from the far left r just as bad, but much worse, than those nutjobs on the right. Why? B/C in this time of uncertainty, hearing so many so called "Democrats" criticize the president, question his manhood (while we're fighting 2 wars, I might add), question his leadership at EVERY chance they get, insinuate he's failed and/or incapable of leading or getting the country out of the rut we're in, it makes people afraid. Independents r scared!
