this tune is proper amazin loved it for years, cannae believe sum cunts just made me hear 'hippies on drugs' now when i hear it.....for funks sake!!!!!!
I remember my brother was obsessed with techno tracks, and he had me listen to this saying it was indescribably amazing, and I agreed right away.
later he said that he had sat in his chair in his room for 8 hours listening to this track on a loop, and then suddenly looking at the clock, and it was time to go to school!
I fell in love with this track, and listened to it for hours on end myself.
this song samples rapping by Milk D of Audio 2. (hence the name Milk dx) It is processed quite heavily, but you can hear it... at 3:01 it is clearly identifiable as his voice if you are familiar with Audio 2.
your right, symphonies, instrument solos, and the odd instrumental songs by popular bands are also shit just because they dont contain lyrics. in fact, any second of any song is shit if it doesnt have lyrics.
wait, why not just make all songs acapella from now on. this will revolutionize music.
yea, its tu-tu-tu-tututu-tu-tu-tutu-tu-tu-tutu tu,or it migth be piopiopio-piopiopio-piopiopiopiopiopiopiopio. very similar to the rapping cat from checkers ya know.
At first I didn't take this comment seriously but I just listened again and the muffled synth line in the back can sort of sound like a human voice saying "hippies like drugs" or something to that effect.
You do realize that your brain is geared up to recognize speech, in the same way that we recognize faces.
The brain is constantly listening/looking for them, and anything similar can be interpreted as words/faces.
You might have heard of the audio phenomenon Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) where people hear voices amidst things like static and other noises ranging from boiling water to fan noise.
make a hd 1080 video
i think most of the audio compression is due to the encode from you tube being at
240p
as far as i can tell it downgrades audio to match the lower quality of the picture.

The sound seems fine to me, but then I haven't heard this since John Peel played it about 13 years ago. Great track.

I thought it was something I was doing wrong. I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing this crap compression!

current YT audio encoding is limited to 128kbps with 44.1khz max
16,000 hz frequency, thats tha catch, normalising may work a little, but the bitrate is dire, i'd prefer 320kbps minimum, hope this helps a little
