They where designed as stress relief look at how many ring wearers damage their rings by spining it around like that when they are nervous or stressed so someone came up with the spinner ring so they can be twisted with no damage to the ring

Spinner rings are designed as a 'fiddle' device. People who feel the need to fiddle with specific objects (commonly, people with ADD) without having to physically carry an object around all the time. Of course these rings are for everybody, but even people like me who have to wait for a lot of things in daily life, a spinner ring is a perfect product that ads style and functionality.

Nope, no ball bearings. It's just two pieces, the main part of the ring and the design that spins around the outside.

Duane, when I first saw this I laughed. THEN, I started thinking.. good idea. When some crack head is trying to rob me I can hold up my left hand and say, "do you like this ring I'm spinning on my finger?" and while he's looking at it I can reach in my right front pocket & pull out my Sog Aegis Black Tini, OR my Benchmade 2550 Mini Reflex Auto and cut his throat at the same time. Forget the Sig P229 40 cal. That's great. YOU just gave me a good idea. Love ya like a brother man. UUUHHH-RRRAAHH
