What fingers do you use during that first part? The chromatic-y sounding part. I'm trying to learn this, but my hands aren't quite big enough to stretch. Any ideas?
@EmilyBearfan I went 4313143232131313431313131 with finger if that makes any sense, sorry haven't played the song in a few years but if I were to play it now that's how it'd go i think...
yea so i went back home, and checked the sheet music, and it was a Db, but i played it again with an Eb, and it sounded pretty good, so i dunno, either one works i guess. thanks for the comments though!
oh. ooops. nothing i could do to change it though, but thanks anyways, and if i end up playing it again, ill be sure to change it. wait have you played this before?
was absolutely even, yours wasn't, but of course, that was done in a studio, but you could use the glissandos in the end, as written in the music, they're great!! I have
never heard anyone play it as cleanly as
this, or as staccato, so that the notes don't
sound run together- I think that you have the technique to do it though!! I play this in
are you f-ing kidding me? no, it wasnt fast forwarded! good lord dude. just cuz my fingers are going, take a look at my body. if fastforwarded, it wouldnt look so slow
yea you do put up a good point there...and in all honesty, when i posted that vid, i hadnt played it in like 4 months, so yea you may actually play it better...if you play piano well, that makes you decently intelligent, which means you should be able to figure out how to post a vid.

I am playing this song right now, and you probably can't tap you foot to this song,
1. your not listening REALLY CLOSELY
2. the beat changes as the song goes on
3. the notes don't always land on a beat, which makes it confusing
supsup195 3 years ago
yea it's rather confusing sometimes, but good luck!!
wroyals07 3 years ago
oh yea i've seen Plowright's. I think it's on my favorites list, but i dont remember. thank you for your comments.
wroyals07 3 years ago
For fun, listen to Johnathan Plowright play
it in concert, or, also on this site, Bumble
Boogie, Freddy Martin- Jack Fina, 1946.
I think they are great, and yours is the best
on here next to them!!
Carrieprincipal 3 years ago
Listen to the recording of Jack Fina
playing it on the record in 1946, the speed
was absolutely even, yours wasn't, but of course, that was done in a studio, but you could use the glissandos in the end, as written in the music, they're great!! I have
never heard anyone play it as cleanly as
this, or as staccato, so that the notes don't
sound run together- I think that you have the technique to do it though!! I play this in
concert- it's damned difficult, so I'm not
criticizing!!!!
Carrieprincipal 3 years ago
completely understandable, and i dont take it wrongly at all. ill see if i can find the recording and improve it, but i doubt i have the time to. =)
wroyals07 3 years ago
You have good technic, however, this is
way too fast, have you ever heard Fina
play the original, you make it sound as
if it's wrong!! We know you have fast fingers, but this isn't the way to use them.
Why not choose something that is meant
to be smudged together by playing too fast?
Carrieprincipal 3 years ago
hmmmm ok. i know some people put thumbs down on you, but im willing to listen. can you give me an accurate clip of bumble boogie so i can compare it?
wroyals07 3 years ago
