  • @nutzofrill True, true. Rakim is in my opinion one of the best, if not the best, Emcees of all time

  • @nutzofrill Rakim is not a verb. Besides, this earful of soul is good enough on it's own.

great thanks to Sun Ra and all the members of the Arkestra......

We are blessed! Btw the Arkestra still performs and is led by long long longtime band member~~~ the great Marshall Allen.

  • this bass is so simple but is so wonderful... Make you travel in the music!

  • ITS MAKING ME FEEL INSANE

  • This reminds me of tidal wave by ronnie laws, lots of similar sax in there.

  • one of the best damn Sun Ra Albums ever...

  • @dudeeatingfood DAT SAX!

  • This is the work of a genius.

  • This was recorded and released in 1978 on a small local independent label called Philly Jazz and came in a silvery reflective sleeve. Very nice and a very professional production

  • I feel this way too. Sonny's one of the few that, for me, have been able to express it.

  • This it.

I've finally heard this beautiful, BEAUTIFUL song.

    I can finally die.

  • portmanteau. when was this album recorded?

  • Sun Ra has the most overwhelming musical output of any musician in the 20th century. Not even the most obsessive fan of his work can truly understand or chronicle his creativity. We STILL DON'T KNOW how many albums Sun Ra recorded. New albums and long out of print records keep turning up in peoples attics and long-forgotten archives. He truly left a legacy of mystery that may never be unraveled.

  • I can imagine this on a movie soundtrack when some cool guy is walkin' down the sidewalk with his shades and his swagger...

  • Gotta use this someday...

  • @JURASHAHEED just add Amen

  • Thanks David.

  • my musical jurney started with paul hardcastle, then went to roy aires, and now sun ra,where else can it go?

  • @thegovamint Lonnie liston smith.

  • Just amazing.

  • Awesome

  • I use to wake up to this song every morning. Love this song and this album. Truly extraterrestrial.

  • @Shootout518 If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to do that? I'm quite jealous...shucks I NEED TO START waking up to music like this! Maybe my days my go a little better!

  • was this produced in the 70's, Uhm it seems to me that the bass was not orginal to the composition. Anyway, viva la Sun Ra!

  • The album Has been remastered to hdcd

eprhaps that's why you may not remember the bassline.

  • bless ra
