Such an epic series. Worth watching twice! Fantastic play by both players.

I'm disappointed neither player used firebats, though. That would've been so pimp. Oh well, have to be satisfied with combat involving SCVs, marines, vultures, goliaths, tanks, wraiths, valkyries, and battlecruisers. Still, a ton of action-packed variety.

TvT can be so fun, when great players are facing off.

I just hope the finals can live up to quality of the semi-finals.

The loser didn't throw the game away by not getting dropships. His economy wasn't booming enough to produce them. He was down in the amount of bases by the time winner started producing them.

This game is a tribute to the greatness of SC1. Even TvT, after all these years, is still evolving. It was only a year and a half ago that TvT had no vultures, and the late-game battlecruiser switch was considered common enough. SC1 is STILL evolving in terms of strategy...

@enjolraslechimiste have you seen the latest zvz's this series? I think every one of them had some new weird strategy with queens and defilers or something. zerglings and mutas are like protoss zealots and dragoons. Kind of impossible not to use em. All the match ups are still having some changes.

I've always liked fantasy's play. But these games were different. I think he just grew on us - and i hope to see him in the semi finals again soon :(

TvT's like this really are chess games at a million miles an hour. I find myself drawing parallels all the time. Great fun, and really improved by your commentary moletrap. With all that talk about position and manoeuvres it sounds like you see it the same way.

Gods, tvt is just brutal on the players. Long games, full of intense micro and macro. Small wonder terran players always seem so tired by the end of a set.

Moletrap breathes life into an already exciting game lol. Seriously, I thunk flash has found an awesome build. He does 2 port, forcing goliaths. He then stops wraiths production, gets an even ground army by making only tanks to counter opponents' tank/Goliath mix, then goes superfast 2port dropships. Fantasy got owned that game due to mass dropships from flash. Whereever he chose to engage, flash would have 7 dropships worth of units waiting.

@fangedcow12345 one port dropship, the other port had no control tower.

And the reason Fantasy didn't make dropships is because Flash managed to cause enough damage with wraiths, win battles with tanks, reswitch to wraiths and then taking the double gas expansions. These things continually forced Fantasy to make tanks/gols instead of dropships.

wait, did fantasy get ANY dropships? i heard moletrap reference them a couple of times, but I never did see any drops. That was the downfall of fantasy

@Sadddude He didnt had the money. He was on the back foot for the entire game . He was bleeding scv's all over the place... If he would have gone for dropships then Flash would have rolled over him with superior ground forces, not to mention Flash had quite a few wraiths. The early harass won Flash the game.
