For a song like "American Baby", or another song of Dave's, you sound as if your voice would fit maybe "Sister", or even "Baby Blue"....I think the best fit would likely be something like "Crush". An intimate song, with beautifully written lyrical gestures that you can turn into your own cover style. Your voice seems to crown about a more intimate style, and if possible, pick up the finger styles of guys like Dave. They can make it so sweet!
