@princeigorash One of the main reasons for flaking these ways is to give the ways a longer life span; assuming the machine has a good lubrication system, oil seeping into the tiny crevices will allow better oil flow. You don't always have to do it and is just a preference for some.
Looks great. I understand the purpose of scraping, but what is the second process,flaking, for? Many thanks.
