ASL is just one of the sign that we communicate, there are many others like, Auslan, JSL, Shanghainese Sign Language and so on... to understand sign language, read up a bit on the history... There is this gestuno which the representive of different countries will use in conference like WFD...
I am hard of hearing, too, a part of being deaf. I am from Florida. This video could be showing off hearing viewers to learn about a ASL sign language. This is GREAT!
I'm from Texas, US. Thanks for replying! I have browsed through quite a few YouTube videos and Vlogs on ASL. I was kinda hoping to find lessons of some sort. I think I'll search for a Vlog Pal; someone to send asl video messages back & forth with. That may help me a lot in sharpening what I know so far, and learn more. Do you know know of any such thing?
Keep in mind... The signs that is being used here in the video is not 100% English. It is more of a mixture between various sign languages from different countries. There is not one unified sign language. But there are similiar signs...
I'm not deaf, but a cousin of mine is...
And I think is very important to exist an international Sign Language, because it would be easier to all deafs tocommunicate with each other...
In Brazil the deafs use the "LIBRAS" (brazillian silgn Language) and its different from this one showed on this video.
I think these in these conferences people should try to unificate all sign languages and make a international one!

*wow*. I've never seen anything like this. I wish I could see more shows this way; it would help me to better understand how to sign more correctly.
