Semi closed deck EJ207 - Engine from version 7 or 8 (01-05) sti type uk. Comes semi-forged already so enough strength for 400-420 hp with mods

v7 or v8 ej207. i prefer the forged pistons on the v7 engine but they are rare to find. everyonce and a while i see one for sale here in the usa. i see v8 engines for sale frequently for between $3,500-$4,500 depending on how complete it is.

it cost me about $3,500 to rebuild my ej205 with forged internals and some minor headwork, and it still really wasn't as good as one of those 2.0l sti engines are.

if you can afford it, buy a complete working engine to make your project easier.

sorry, v7 engines would be 2001-2002 in japan, the v8 are i guess 03+. there are differences between them, but they both have high redlines and should be reliable given a decent tune regardless of modifications.

Roger Clarke motorsport are situated in the middle of no where in Leicestershire. I took my scooby for a service there last year and they were excellent. Unlike main dealer, they went the extra mile and really did care. Ollie was the man who I dealt with, and he did the works on my car. He showed me around the workshop and showed me the beast of 900 bhp. It was up on 4 jacks but was in immaculate condition, pristine! I asked if it cost £100k to build? Ollie just sniggered. I left it at that!!

What do you mean 850hp? There are videos on YouTube of flat4s with almost twice that. Guy in California called Ali Afshar from ESX motorsports has one with over 1200hp.
