WHAT A VOICE ! i bought this record and kept playing it every day ! i still have it with many others i could listen to Scott for hours and never get bored !
Is there anything like this around today? I mean, take any average boy band who get in the charts. Could they harmonise like the Walkers - or sing solo like Scott Engel.? Mmmmm, no i fear not. This was a special blend of talent, who a had a genius of a lead singer. Trouble was, i don't think any of us around at the time of the Walkers gave it much thought. We took it for granted with a lot of the other talent that abounded in the British charts. You look back now and it' all so special.
@johnniedent You are so right. Those of us who remember the 1960's and early 1970's did take all this great music for granted. You never get tired of listening to the Walker Brothers because of Scott's incredible voice and John's beautiful backup harmonies, and many other great groups like Left Bank, The Grass Roots, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap and single artists like BJ Thomas, Neil Diamond, and the list can go on, not to mention the Motown groups.
This is a very good song by the Walker Brothers; although it is a not very wellknown song, it's very good. Everybody knows of course "the sun ain't gonna shine anymore" but this is also very good indeed. The guy who sings has a magnificient clear voice. A real talent
I agree with the comments here. One of the Walker's best songs. I have the Walker Brother's box set and like their 60s recordings better than the 70's stuff. This is truely a great song.
Great ! Very nice !

How sad to go through life unaware of these guys. This song is so beautiful but if you want to totally dissolve, may I suggest the epic "Love Her"
