I'll admit that XP was my choice of OS when I had a single core Athlon and 2 GB of DDR2 RAM......

But now that I have a Phenom II with 8 GB of DRR3 RAM, XP just seems light years away from Vista........ Vista is SO much more modern and I can do so much more with it compared to XP

@aviator2k9 Well the iphone 1g has the same firmware as the iphone 4g, only the iphone 4g has better hardware. I guess if you are a casual computer users, XP is not a bad deal. But if you really want to get into hardcore gaming, vista is the way to go next to 7. You will never see an overclocker running XP unless its a hobby test.

I've used Windows Vista and I confess that it is a great operating system, but I prefer to stick with Windows XP, it has an awesome performance with programs and games, does not require a computer so powerful, Windows Vista is very heavy, need 2 GB of memory, processor cores with two or more .... I hate fucking XP. I had to deal with that shitty software until last year. It was so slow I could take a 5 hour nap and wake up and the program I opened up still wouldn't load all the way! And before you flame me I'll also add in that I upgraded that stupid system 4 times and it didn't even do much!

@thebioniclefan, your slowliness problem was probably caused by anything but the OS. People have a tendency to blame it rather than try to find the real cause. I have the XP SP2 in a 11 year old Compaq Armada M300 laptop that has a P3 500MHz processor, 256Mb of RAM and a 12Gb Hdd and since I installed it 6 years ago it never gave me any problems. Of course, being an old machine, the hardware sometimes gives me a bit of problems but not the OS. And this is a very slow machine.

Just use flyakite Theme Patcher for XP SP2 & use any XP theme you want, say, media center (royal) etc?

So much easier, & changes the visual style to whatever you want without making so many changes!
