@gilllie666 If our thinking about switching over you should do it you’ll find that the work ethic you gained from being in a trade will excel you to the top of your class plus flying around in helicopters, looking at rocks, and getting paid to go camping is badass career. Hope that helps

i'm a young electrician who is bored with the job because magnetism doesn't thrill me, would my background put me in a good position to changing my career to geology?
@gilllie666 I became a certified red seal carpenter in 2007 and in 2009 I decided to go back to school for somewhat of the same reasons you are probably think about right now. In 2010 I finished my upgrading and I’m now in my second year in geology and loving it. I’m so glad I decided to switch it really is an amazing career and since I already had a trade I've found that it is really easy to get a job because I have those skills that not a lot of university students have. 1 of 2
