Nope - this isn't suede to me I'm afraid. No passion and surprisingly bland. Wanted to give them benefit of doubt on ANM material as it totally passed me by at the time, but listening to this I am glad it did. I love suede, but this was a pretty sad end for such a brilliant and confrontational band

critics hated that song and the whole album 'cos apparently it's boring... I think they don't expect Suede to be happy, simplistic or sober...

I think the album A New Morning attracted a lot of new fans but they lost a lot of Suede fans from the earlier albums who hated Suede being positive/sober... that's my take on why Brett thinks that song killed the band...

and I still don't get why critics/fans hated Head Music.I have all their earlier works and B-sides, in my opinion HM was cool...
