  • This is way too much work just to design a webpage, I'm sorry. I've been at this crap all day long and all I got to show for it was a blank page full of lines. This stuff isn't worth all this agitation.

  • Hey Ali, I was wondering why you cannot just place your template into DW and it does it automatically? with out coding. Not to say I would not mind doing it.

  • Excellent tutorial! One problem i've noticed with dreamweaver CS5 opening and closing a css using brackets is actually { } instead of ( ) ...Just a note for those who use CS5 and who are new users like myself...

  • Great tutorial Ali, enjoyed it all and I must say, you are a great teacher. You made it all so simple.

  • hey there ali! i do have a question? why did'nt you include the header into the wrap? i mean to make it all arranged in a whole wrap.

  • Hey rahj8786, i have a way that works for me, you can include it in the header wrap, but i like having it outside as an individual div, it is just the way i work.

    Ali

  • @1stoptutorials ok thanks, you have a very good tutorials. mind if i ask for your help? i do have a bg wrap then inside it a bg then inside of the bg is a bg content which is still also a graphic in it. my problem is that, when i put a margin on the bg content to align of the bg. the margin also affect the bg or i think the bg wrap and i already set the body margin into zero and zero padding. im really confuse, i try to clear both but it wont work.

  • great tutorials learn allot I do have 1 question if you want your other pages to look like the template the basic links and header you know

do you have to copy all the code from there or is there an easy way to this.

  • Hey oael98, thanks for your comment. If you want to have the same look on all your pages then all you need to do is do a file save as and call the page a different name. What this does is keep the same style sheet and look, all you need to do now is change the information int he middle. Let me know how you get on

  • Hey Unvailable68, thanks for your post. This course is about making that possible. All templates are different and it depends on what your template looks like. If you could send me a pic to

1stoptutorials at gmail dot com and i can have a better answer. Thansk

  • Hey RoyCulemborg, thanks for the comment. body is an html tag so you don't need to put it in. It is the same as the a,li,ul,img they are all html so are not needed. Let me know how you get on

    Ali

  • awesome guide im finally starting to understand what is div but i really not sure about the slicing bit

  • Hey iSwifter, slicing comes in time, the more you play the better you get. don't worry it will all make sense.

    Ali

  • great job...im actually understanding this stuff!!!!

  • instead of repeating on the x axis(for the background) how can you stretch it?

  • Hey Intergalactiic, thanks for your comment. What are you trying to stretch it to, the full width of the screen? let me know as that will not look good because it is a pixel based graphic meaning it will distort.

    Thanks

    Ali
