  • great video, i've never really thought about the concept of hell before but this video really made me aware of how sickening 'hell' actually is and how it is somehow accepted in society. Thanks for such a thought provoking video

  • seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is being born, near death experiences are still born babies

    problem solved, g'night

  • Hell is being seperated from God, and is a place where you chose to go there.

so if someone decides to go there why complain>?

  • @AhmadiyyaChannel Err...I don't remember choosing to stop believing... o.o I only remember deciding that it's better to not pretend I have faith.

  • @Darthmas2242

You have decided not to believe, which is a rejection of God. if you reject God, you reject mercy and therefore you enter into hell. Athiests want to stick two fingers at God and be given a bowl of cherries

no it doesnt work like that, you reject God, you burn.

  • @AhmadiyyaChannel Don't tell me my own mental state you moron. I will decide my cognative processes. I said, quite clearly, that I did not choose to not believe. I only chose to stop pretending that I DID believe. I don't stick two fingers to any being I find fictional. I'll start ordering you to bow before Lucy if you're not careful. Lucy was my imaginary friend; evil vicious monster who protected me from nasty people. I saw her as my goddess...hehe, quite funny..

  • @Darthmas2242

    shall we exchange insults?

If you dont have the mental faculties to decide what you do or dont believe, I suggest you see a doctor.

Hell is the result of seperating fromGod

  • @AhmadiyyaChannel I'm a deterministic psychologist. So when I say I did not choose to not believe, I was merely stating that I had no say in what would sway me to god NOT being true. In short, my standards of evidence are set by my innate nature, I did not choose them. Don't argue with me on this...seeing as I've been educated in psychology and you likely as not haven't, judging on your responses.

  • I really , really like the thrust of your argument, and its good that someone has the balls to speak against religious fundamentalism. One (perhaps little) thought, there is no belief in Hell (as far as I know) in any branch of my religion (Judaism). There is also relatively little stress on any life-after death perpetuity. Judaism is more about how we live our lives now. That being said, I hope you get "spotted" and get to do this on telly, we really need public voices like yours

  • @Lofeman I'm aware that Hell is not conceptualised in the same way it is in Christianity, but some Jews do believe in a place of eternal punishment, such as Rabbi Simmons. I can link you to an article in which he writes to this effect if you wish.

  • PURGATORY AND HEAVEN FTW

  • Hold on, Jews don't believe in hell mister muslim man :P

  • @Thisshitisfuckedup Some do.

  • @LatumWay I apologise to Mr Muslim man then but do you know which section of Judaism does? Just being curious is all.

  • So hell's gonna be full of heat and pain. I'll see you there!

  • I still remember Richard Dawkins story (I believe from 'the god delusion') of a woman, who had 2 experiences as a 10 year old girl. She got molested by a priest, and her best friend died. Since he best friend was protestant and she was catholic, her parents told her that her best friend is now burning in hell. Of these 2 experiences, she says that the thought of her best friend burning in hell was much more traumatic to her as a child.

  • Religion will throw an array of different things at you. If an all loving god doesn't win you over, perhaps the threat of eternity in hell will. If not that, perhaps physical torture would do the trick. If not physical torture, perhaps asking you questions about the nature of the world which you can not answer will boodazzle you into admitting there has to be a creator. If not that, maybe Pascal's wager will. If not that, maybe witness testimonies will. If not that, ...

  • You are looking at this from the view that everyone who believes in God thinks he is an "ever loving and just" being. Some religions don't believe that at all! They believe that God is vengeful! Hence, Hell.

I do not bring this up to start a fight, just merely to give a different perspective on the situation.

  • I love that show, you get so many crazies. Im sat there chanting 'fight, fight, fight, fight!' at the tv screen.

  • you just sick

  • watching this video is hell.

    peace, lardo.

  • I would like to ask you a question. As we can only commit a finite amount of good deeds/acts then do we really deserve to end up in Heaven forever?? Where do we go after serving our punishment for a finite amount of sins? Or after being rewarded with paradise for our finite amount of good deeds?

  • @3zzi32008 Back to earth, I could assume... Or just dead. Either works.

  • @JonathanClement140 Well thats a rediculous assumption. If we were to be put back to earth then why punish us in the first place. May as well just leave us here. Whats the point in Hell if the is no Heaven, cause this certainly isn't paradise on earth. Once you serve the punishment for your sins, as long as you haven't totally disbelieved in God or associated partners with him, and have accepted all the scriptures and prophets, then you go to paradise.

  • @3zzi32008 Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

  • @JonathanClement140 Thank you, I'm glad you agree :)

  • Latumway, the torturous hell and punishing aspects of god are there to appeal to the angry, hateful personality types, while the "all loving," merciful, forgiving and just god is there for the lighthearted, happier pesonality types. This is how cons work. They have to appeal to EVERYONE, all personality types. This is why we see a split personality god. It's a very well crafted con that had hundreds of years to develop. Also, most expert con artists present over the top rewards or punishments.

  • This video is full of win! Keep up the good work, LatumWay!

  • How would he know what hell is like or if it is real If he has never been there?

Eh, some people claim to know it all..

  • @DevilWomanCake Well obviously I'm looking at it from descriptions from other people who believe in it and advocate it.

Don't be such a bitch please.

  • @LatumWay I was talking about the muslim guy...

  • @DevilWomanCake I am sooooo fucking sorry. I fail I fail I fail.

Feel free to call me a bitch. I deserve it.

  • Those people are really blind. They are not seeing beyond the words written in the bible/quran. Its all a fucking metaphor. What? does your god have to spoon-feed you too? fucking supers...

  • The kingdom of Heaven is WITHIN us

  • Christians and Muslims wil then point you in the direction of people who claim to die and then went to hell the rescued by god well then if thats the case the hell is not forever but trying telling them that is another thing plus the Wages of Sin is death plus it is very biblical that people go to the grave and remember not what they did b4 they dies to await the day of judgment. It's a lie the only hell there is the one we create for ourselves pure and simple it's the same as heaven TBC

  • The 3rd place is gehanna now judism has managed to twist this place into their version of Hell but relaaly is a waste dump which was in the Valley of hinnom I think it was eitehr south east or south west from Old Jerusalem. It was awaste dump that was always on fire were bodys (dead) were constanly thrown on to and what crawls on dead bodys worms i believe so the worm dieth not. There were cases of sulpher also be known to be found round that area. Of course check this info yourself

  • Also if you actually think about how many times The Bible has been Re-translated I mean how can you really trust it. hell as we know it is a lie The original hebrew and greek scriptures speak of 2 places well 3 but will get back to that in a sec the 2 places are Sheol meaning the Grave and Hades which is the underworld a place of resting basically the same thing, the 3rd place well I will go into that in a seperate comment

  • Hitler deserves to be killed 56 Million Times.

Then sent to learn about the Jewish faith.

Before finally being admitted to Heaven.

  • I'm with you, dude. I recently broke up with all my Christian friends. I can't be friends with someone who's going to worship the monster who throws billions into eternal punishment.

  • JACOB! You should read the book called "God Is Not Great. How Religion Poisins Everything" By Christopher Hitchins

or "The God Delusion" by Robert Dawkins.

They are really great books for atheists and eye opening. Check them out!

  • @PurpleHaze6418 Way ahead of you.

  • @LatumWay How so sir?

  • @PurpleHaze6418 Read em.

  • @LatumWay Damnit! Was trying to be helpful :'( tear.

I suppose I could send it to another fellow atheist. Marco!

  • @LatumWay 'cosmos' by Carl Sagan?

  • @PurpleHaze6418 I tried readding the God delusion I was at the chapter The Arguments for the existance of God, and every argument that was made for the existance of god and Argument against immediately followed instead of being saved for the enxt chapter which was the argument for That God does not exist, it felt a bit to biased for me and it was almost like Mr dawkins was trying to tell me I should believe him didint feell like th way the info was presented that i had much of a choice

  • « it felt a bit to biased for me »

And you're right. Dawkins is not a particularly good writer. I've read some of his works, including The God Delusion and The Greatest Show, and he writes in a confusing and haphazard manner, not entirely managing to bring his points home.

If you're interested in biology and evolutionary theory, you should read Carl Zimmer and Jerry Coyne, rather than Dawkins. If it's not about the biology but about the theology, I'd still not recommend Dawkins.

  • @XGralgrathor Na i bought the greatest Show on earth at the same time and after reading the God Delusion i have no interest any more of richard Dawkins work cuz obviously he is out to get followers to create his own personal cult u cna cleary see this happening to lal who love his book

  • « he is out to get followers to create his own personal cult »

Nah, I don't think it's that bad. I think he is simply anxious to educate people on matters relating to evolutionary theory, and to dispel superstition from society. He's just not very good at what he does.

  • It is apparent that many of the atheists commenting on this video just don't really believe what science tells them about time. I know to us time feels like a constant. It always seemed that way in our lives. Time is a function of location, gravity, relative speed and distance. If the universe goes away, time does too. There is no difference between one second and eternity once it does. I know that is hard to comprehend. But from the comments, many posters here don't understand time.

  • @canislupusfool I understand your frustration and unbelief. You will, however, understand it one day. It was nice chatting with you. Have a great day.

  • @Daviusheart So fake.

  • @LatumWay What? I'm being real, LatumWay. So please refrain yourself from calling me a Fake. Have a good day.

  • @Daviusheart a real dick.

  • in the first abrahamic religion (jews) hell is like jail you stay there till you paid for your sins

  • What I take issue with, more so than the concept of Hell, is the idea that humans should accept the authority of a god or gods without question. In western faiths it would appear as though most adherents seek to distinguish themselves from all other species. However, in contradiction to this distinction, too many people seem to advocate that we neglect our superior capacity to reason. Why would a god or gods grant us such powerful minds only to demand that we mindlessly follow arbitrary rules?

  • i totally agree with you. An eternity in hell for anything we could possibly do in our mortal life is bullshit. One of the reasons i do not believe in a sentient higher power.

  • @FaithNoMore1977 Well sin as much as you want and dont repent, which is what God wants everyone to do in the name of jesus, and then then you die you'll figure it out, which is going to be too late, my friend.

  • @FaithNoMore1977 Well sin as much as you want and dont repent, which is what God wants everyone to do in the name of jesus, and then then you die you'll figure it out, which is going to be too late, my friend.

  • @FaithNoMore1977 Correction: I meant to say to repent when one sins-that's what God wants us to do on a daily basis in the name of Jesus.

  • @Daviusheart no, it's what Jesus wants us to do in the name of God. God has never asked that we do anything in the name of Jesus.

  • @Guardian0487 Then ask him. I DARE YOU!!! Read the book of St. John once again and (always in your mind) keep asking God whether He wants us to believe in Jesus. What do YOU have to lose? Nothing I suppose.

  • @Daviusheart aside from free will. I'd rather not be enslaved to a book.

  • @Guardian0487 When you read this Holy Book and obey it you are not enslaved but rather FREE. Literally.

  • @Daviusheart Repenting means to change your ways. Not to beg and grovel for forgiveness. And did you know that it's impossible to get to heaven according to the bible in this day and age? To get to heaven, you have to kill people who work on the sabbath, kill people who try to get you into other religions, etc. Jesus said not one tittle of the law would pass away and that breaking the least of the law would exclude you from heaven.

  • none of those 'holy' men sitting there know whether there is a hell or not but boy do they need people to believe in it!!! it is the basis of their power and it enables them to control the weak minded. none of us know what happens until we die and to just accept what is told us is to waste any intelligence we may have.as youtube itself proves, you do not have to accept jesus , mohammed or anyone else 'into our souls' to be good, kind, honest, compassionate ,loving people. hell only controls.

  • @ezmereldagreen Being holy means one is seperated from the secular world's mentality about life and happiness and whatnot, because it's not real; it's a facade to keep peop'e from knowing the truth, Jesus.

  • @Daviusheart and why is buddha not the truth? or mohammed? or siva? or zeus? jesus ?there is barely any evidence for jesus .....

  • @ezmereldagreen Being holy means one is seperated from the secular world's mentality about life and happiness and whatnot, because it's not real; it's a facade to keep peop'e from knowing the truth, Jesus.

  • @Daviusheart If it's not about happiness, then screw your egotistical, insecure whiney, spoiled, selfish, evil God. You sycophants make me sick. "OH, I LOVE YOU, GOD! IT'S GOOD THAT YOU TORTURE MY LOVED ONES FOR ETERNITY! IT'S GOOD THAT YOU DID THAT! IT'S GOOD AND YOU NEVER LET YOURSELF BE KNOWN! IT'S GOOD THAT YOU CREATED AN EVIL BEING TO DECEIVE US! IT'S GOOD THAT YOU DID THAT!" Seriously, if you worship a sick being like that, then you're beyond all hope.

  • The thought of Hell will always be abhorant to those who do not want to be held accountable for their lives. Tis true that God is loving, but He is also holy. His holiness demands that a price be paid for sin. That price was the blood of Christ. Believing, by faith, that Christ's death is the total payment for sin is all that's required for the forgiveness of sin and acceptance with God. Dr. Efird is dead wrong. But only death can prove such things.

  • @nobuckle40 If only death can prove such things, how can you say that Dr. Efird is dead wrong?

Also, if god is all-powerful then why does he need to be playing all these games?

  • @canislupusfool What games, my friend? Satan and his demons(or our own flesh and mind, too) are playing with every one in our minds in order for us not to be christ-like.

  • @Daviusheart The games I am referring to are all the hoops you have to jump through to be a christian. God could just take us all to heaven but he decided to set up this elaborate game which fails as a test because it's not applied evenly across all of humanity.

  • @canislupusfool The game that you are calling means that God is working in you but satan and his demons are trying to confuse you.

  • @Daviusheart God decides to make people. God then makes two places, heaven and earth. He decides to live in heaven and makes us slum it here on earth with no evidence of his existence. He then says we can get to heaven if we believe in him.

The only purpose of a test like that is to see how many people are gullible enough to believe in something for which there is no evidence. What's galling is that being gullible is somehow made out to be a virtue.

  • @canislupusfool Gullible? Far from being it. God has chosen us and we have accepted his calling. That is something that bold people do, rather than live a so- called normal life (but were in bondage and susceptible to his schemes)and then go to Hell. Heaven is God's home. Hell was made specifically for Satan and his demons. Why didnt he just kill him and his demons?

  • @canislupusfool continue...That is the GOLDEN question that even St. Paul, St. Ausgustine, and Pope John Paul 2 would have loved to know when they were alive. The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29). This is hard to fathom. When you do and leave it to God, however, you will be enlightened. God Bless You.

  • @Daviusheart So what you're saying is you don't know and you don't want to know. Well I can hardly blame you, if I had decided to follow the voices in my head and a book told me that voice had committed terrible crimes against humanity, then I probably wouldn't want to know his real motives.

  • @Daviusheart Why did you God create any of it, then?

  • @canislupusfool I say that because death is the only thing that will prove him right or wrong about the existence of Hell. As for you perspective about God playing games, there really is no competition. There is nothing, in all creation, that will defeat God, if indeed a game were being played.

  • @nobuckle40 The same applies to god, heaven and all the other supernatural stuff you believe in. You sound so very sure of yourself. If god is all-powerful then why would he allow the devil to exist?

  • @canislupusfool You sound pretty sure of yourself as well. Having confidence in our convictions is a good thing to have in common. Perhaps you should ask God and not me as to why He didn't destroy the devil from the very beginning. I doubt that you will do that though.

  • @nobuckle40 Oh I asked him, but I had to leave a voicemail. He never picks up when I call.

  • @nobuckle40 Confidence by itself is pointless and coupling it with ignorance can make it dangerous so be careful. Anyway, I have no confidence, only questions.

As to you "question", how would I go about contacting this god of yours? Has he got an email address yet or is he still relying on fiery foliage?

However, my question was directed at you and not your sky-daddy but I'll rephrase to help you.

Why do you think god created the devil and then kept him around?

  • @canislupusfool Are you truly interested in my thoughts on the matter or are you just looking to win an arguement?

  • @nobuckle40 This isn't an argument, it's a question and considering I've asked the question twice now you can safely assume I'm interested in the answer.

To be clear, I am genuinely looking for your take on that question.

I will admit that the way I phrased some of my responses weren't exactly diplomatic but if you could rise above my petty name calling and answer the question I'm sure we could both learn something from the other :)

  • @canislupusfool Agreed. My response may be lenghty so, with your permission, I will send it in a PM.

  • @canislupusfool God created Lucifer(leader of the worship team), not the Devil(The great fallen angel). God can be contacted through prayer in Jesus' name. Very easy, direct line. He kept Satan around because HE wanted to teach US to have FAITH, to TRUST in HIM throughout all OUR problems and daily life here on earth, and To show US HIS power and HIS glory so that WE can be marvelled and glorify HIM. ONE can only appreciate a singer when one HEARS that person sing. God is doing something in you.

  • @Daviusheart Uh oh, are you saying that god isn't responsible for the devil...that means he's not all powerful.

Anyway, you're saying he kept satan around because he wanted to make himself look better...haha...how so very noble. It's like some pathetic wannabe who sets up a crime only so he can come in and save the day.

You're then assuming that faith in him is a good thing which when one tries to assess his character and finds him wanting is a hard thing to accept.

  • God Forgives every one if one repents, because His love endures forever. He is love , and love forgives. We are no one to condemn people to hell, despite what they have done. It might not seem fair, but who are we to question God? Tough words I know. Who can fathom God's mercy and wisdom? Just ponder over these words.

  • @Daviusheart The minute you put God beyong criticism you lose the right to argue over anything.

  • @LatumWay We can ask Him questions. Some, however, he will not answer, because we dont need to know or it's none of our business. I get you because I once criticized God for many things. It was not me, though; it was my anger, my uncontentment, because injustice is so rampant and life seems not to be fair. You are upset (bothered?) with God, not at me, my friend. What did he do to you to make you hate him? Don't let those evil, uncontrolling thoughts control you.

  • @Daviusheart I don't hate God. How can I hate what I don't believe in?

But like I said, once you say God cannot be criticised you allow him to get away with anything. Its illogical.

  • @LatumWay Please explain what do you mean by "God cannot be criticized." You can have a conversation with him and ask him to give you answers; However, to """DEMAND"" answers, not being his son(i.e. a Christian), as a mere human being, is an act of disrespect to a King. Dont you think? Are you wiser than Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent God?

  • @Daviusheart All those omni's you just used are contradictory. Omni potent is irrational. Could he make something so heavy he could lift it? Either answer to that question leaves god impotent in some way.

If you think everything god does is perfect then you must think ALL of the things listed in old testament were perfect and without fault. This include slavery, rape, homophobia, planting wheat and barley in the same field. OT god was a cunt, unless you consider slavery un-cuntish behavior.

  • @canislupusfool You have anger or unresolved issues with God himself. I dont like many things from the old testament too. It was lawlessness back then and only God's actions were right. Let God be true, and every man a liar (Romans 3:4). You are upset with HIM, not with ME, so dont get all argumentative with me if you are mad with someone else, my friend. Dont let those thoughts in your mind control you. It's great that you want answers but be noble when asking God for them.

  • @Daviusheart God, for me, is in the same category as thor, fairies, santa, etc. I don't believe in any of them. You can't be angry at something you're incapable of believing in. I'm not upset with you or your friend or even santa for not bringing me that bike I wanted.

Also, you objective morality is starting to look pretty subjective if it changes according to the time line.

One last thing, which thoughts should I listen to? You didn't say. Have a loltastic day, I know I will.

  • @Daviusheart Even if we follow your reasoning Latumway is not criticising god but your vision of god. He's saying that the way you describe god would be illogical. As far as I know that is =) (Latumway correct me if I'm wrong)

  • @Daviusheart If he only forgives people who repent then he's really nothing special. I've actually forgiven unrepentant people so I guess I've got one up on god.

Why do you keep turning off your brain when you think about god. If he's so loving then you'd expect a god to actually be more loving than a human not less.

  • @Looperberg When Adam disobeyed God's command, he allowed sin to enter. We are all Adam's generation, one race, one people. We sin not because we want to, but because it's our nature. The bible is our guide. The things that are not mentioned there we ought to leave to God himself. He did not reveal it beause he's a sovereign God and we dont need to know; we have enough problems every day. We'll understand everything in Heaven, and by then we wont care. Peace

  • @Daviusheart peace?????? thats a laugh..where is your god when it comes to peace in the middle east, in northern island , in the ethnic communities in eastern europe....i could go on....have you READ the old testament???

  • @ezmereldagreen You have anger in your heart. I've been there, too: I get you. Seatan loves violence, depression, and humiliation: these are his strengths. And about the old testament, that is the old pact; we are living with a new one: New Testament, which is "WAY" better. If we were living according to the old testament, many people sinning and committing violence would be dead.

  • @Daviusheart You do realize if your god exists he is mindfucking the entire human species, right?

  • @Looperberg Be Patient.

  • @Looperberg No one can force onceself to worship God without God himself putting that desire in you or by calling you to get closer to him. Are you shielding yourself from hearing Him or just ignoring Him? Maybe that's the problem, who knows. Open yourself to him and stop blaming him for all the problems that are occuring everywhere or around you. GBU.

  • @Daviusheart Since God doesn't exist, I can't blame him for anything.

  • @Looperberg OBEY and you will be blessed- do not obey and you will be cursed. You will be judged according to your deeds. Obey Obey Obey.

  • @tonykeywest08 We have been over this, Tony...you have to put your faith in ZEUS.

  • This is obvious conjecture on my part but they might be laughing because it sounds so absurd. I admire your passion because I too find the idea of hell infuriating. I'm supposed to believe I have inherited sin from Adam and Eve because of an ill-informed decision they made 5000 years ago? How is that concept fair and just?

  • Vast Underground civilizations in the Inner Earth started the legends of hell.

the nasties that live there, to this day, created the famed underworld cities of Hyperbolea and Shamballa

  • just a thought,

has anyone ever brought up the notion of an evil god that would create a hell and lie about being good and just?

I think with most myths, instead of debating the morality of it or it's use as a manipulative device, the myth should be deeply examined with in ones self both the unimaginably horrific and the impossibly wonderful.

from that comes understanding of the self.

  • In philosophy one learns that there are opposites: If one loves much, one can hate much; If one is happy, one can be sad; If there's a heaven, then here's a Hell for sure. Accept Jesus and follow him. How? By reading the bible and obeying it. Christians are holy, not perfect, by the way. Just an advice. Never say I didnt tell you!!!

  • Hell was made for Satan and his demons(fallen angels), not us humans. You, my friend, are at the point where you are absolutely thinking about something very spiritual by using your intellect. You will never understand it unless you accept Jesus Christ so that the Holy Spirits might dwell in you, in order for the Holy Spirit to teach you the things that you do not understand. HELL is REAL, just like HEAVEN is REAL, my friend, whether or not you believe.

  • @Daviusheart Not to sound like a robot, but I literally cannot believe in something for which I can see no evidence.

  • @LatumWay I understand you. That's, however, where FAITH comes in. By trusting in Jesus, He will reveal to you what you do not know or cannot comprehend. Ask him. Tell him that you need evidence, and that without it, it's difficult for you to believe in him. I'm sure He will ANSWER you. God Bless You.

  • @Daviusheart

I tried. He didn't give me any. Does that mean he wants me to go to hell?

  • @spencerschultz Wait for the answer. Be patient. God speaks in many ways. Ask many questions, question everything, and wait or look for the answer(s) which can come in many ways. He doesnt want any one to go to Hell. That is the reason why Jesus came to earth and died for our sin, to have eternal life with him in heaven.

  • @Daviusheart

If he doesn't want anyone to go to hell, why did he create it?

  • @spencerschultz For Satan and his demons

  • @Daviusheart

If it's for Satan and his demons, why is he going to send me there? Why didn't he just make Satan and his demons just cease to exist instead of creating such a horrible place?

  • @spencerschultz I understand your feelings and accusation. I've been there too. These questions you must ask God and he will answer you. If he doesnt it's because you dont need to know, but to TRUST in Him. Have FAITH. Worry about saving yourself by accepting Jesus first and then ask him; if not then you'll go to hell. Simple as that. One is either on God's side or Satan's side. Our nature is to be on Satan's side(by sinning), whether we do it knowingly or by ignorance. Hope it helps. Peace.

  • @Daviusheart I have asked and gotten no answer. There is no reason to assume that I will ever get one. How can I trust something that, for all intensive purposes, does not appear to exist. Also, I'm assuming that because you are Christian that you believe god created everything, including us. If god doesn't like sin or sinfulness, why did he create us this way? Why did he create Satan? What purpose do these things serve other than to send us to hell?

  • @spencerschultz Read the book of Genesis. God did not creat us as a sinful human being, my friend. When He created Adam, Adam was like God. And God did not creat Satan but rather Lucifer. Lucifer became Satan when God expelled him from Heaven because of his wanting to be like God. After Adam disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit, sin entered into humanity. Sin and its practice will take one to hell, but Jesus blood and obeying Him will take us to Heaven. Peace.

  • @Daviusheart It doesn't really matter how god originally created the first two humans, because he created them with the potential to "sin" (whatever that really means). Anything that Adam, Eve, you or I are right now is a direct result of god creating us this way. Whether or not sin entered because Adam disobeyed is irrelevant. If god didn't want sin to exist, it wouldn't exist. Also, if Lucifer was in god's presence and chose to disobey, what chance do I have when I don't even know he exists?

  • Furthermore, why does an all-powerful, supposedly loving being require a blood sacrifice in order to forgive humans? Why can't he simply just say, "I forgive you." I still don't understand why a place created for Satan and his demons is reserved for disobedient humans. Finally, regarding Satan, God knew that Lucifer was going to become the devil (at least if he is omniscient he did). Knowing that, why did god proceed to create him anyways?

  • @spencerschultz Go to a nearby church and ask the leaders or a pastor, go to a christian university and ask its professors, or ask anyone else near you with biblical knowledge to answer those questions. I'd be more comfortable answering them face t o face. I dont want to just WRITE and WRITE if you are not going to understand and just want answers for which you are not either ready or dont want to accept them. Peace.

  • @Daviusheart I've already done that. Basically you are saying, "I know the answer but I'm unwilling to share it with you." Every Christian that I considered to be knowledgeable has given me the exact same answers as you. When the questions get too hard they just deflect it and make up some excuse as to why they can't or won't answer the questions. I am 100% ready for the answers, and unless they are completely implausible I'm more than willing to accept them so hit me with your best shot.

  • @spencerschultz Well, i dont know all the answers, but what i know i will write it and send to your e-mail. Peace.

  • @Daviusheart Why does God want me to have faith and trust so damned bad? What's he so afraid of?

  • @Daviusheart If he doesn't want anyone to go to hell then why did he make it? Would a loving person make a torture room? No.

Yet, somehow, god creates the ultimate torture for all-eternity, saves it only for people who don't believe in him regardless of their good works and you want me to consider that god....loving. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......I think you're brain's got some wires crossed because that kind of person would be described, generously, as a sadistic fucktard.

  • @Daviusheart What's so good about this faith thing? Why is it considered a virtue to believe in something that has no evidence. It's not a good thing.

I'm sure there are plenty of people who had faith in a certain Nigerian orphan who had been left a huge some of money but needed to transfer it safely to another country...all he needed was faith in him.

The odd thing is I have more faith in that Nigerian orphan because at least I know Nigeria exists and contains orphans.

  • @Daviusheart You think we haven't? I have SEVERAL times and got nothing. Yes, I WAS sincere, so don't try to use that bullshit excuse. You think I'd WANT to suffer for eternity? That ANYBODY would? It's a maniplative controll tactic. Why not just accept that the world is simply uncaring and unjust and that there's no compensation in any afterlife and use that to make THIS world a better place instead of pretending to do good by uselessly praying?

  • @Daviusheart HELL isn't REAL, just like HEAVEN isn't REAL, my friend, whether or not you believe. Did that convince you?

    2 questions...

    1. Have you been to either heaven or hell?

    2. Why are you blindly obeying a really old book, are you incapable of making decisions for yourself?

  • @canislupusfool This old book has withstood the test of times. It's the most important book of literature, history, poetry, proverbs, songs.... It will enlightened the simple person and make him wise if he only obeys it. So when we die, may I ask, where do we go, sir?

  • @Daviusheart Funny how Muslims say the same thing about the Qu'ran...and Jews the same thing about the Torah....and Hindus about the Bhagavadgita...

You are an athiest too, of sorts, you disbelieve in every other god and goddess that has ever existed...we just take that logic one diety further. :)

As for when we die, who says we have to "go" anywhere....ever considered we might just die? Just because you cannot imagine being dead doesn't mean dying somehow doesn't actually kill you.

  • @Daviusheart That's some nice unsupported claims there. The bible is not a good book. Most modern fairy tales are better written and manage to impart actual morals as opposed to justification for slavery, homophobia, xenophobia, etc..

I don't understand your last question. When I die I'm pretty sure I'll lose the ability to go anywhere, ambulation being one of the many function my body will no longer be able to perform. When you die, you rot.

  • @canislupusfool When one dies one will either go to Heaven, which will be peaceful, or go to Hell, which will be painful FOREVER!!!!!!!

  • @Daviusheart Translation: You will never understand it unless you allow emotion to override logic and reason and become a terrified sycophant like who ultimately only worships a devil for his own interests. Sorry. I'd rather be a good person and go to hell than be an unthinking, uncompassionate, spineless douchebag and go to heaven.

  • google "Carlton Pearson."

  • @bryantulsa Found him. Interesting.

  • Does it seriouslly... Pisses you the most in religion concept?

Not the overall stupidity, ignorance etc. and the believe in bullshit itself?

I don't understand why would anyone theoritically accept dogma to explain if it is either logicall, or subiectivelly ethicall/moral/good or wrong.

Hell, or afterlife overall is the least repulsive thing in religion... It is 'seposed' to happen after death, so it's idea influence on our real world is much lower then other dogma.. which actually concerns it

  • @Ilamarea If you think about it, anyone who advocates hell is literally advocating something far worse than anything Hitler did. It's not revolting because he thinks it's real, it's revolting because real people think this is a just and good thing to happen. That DOES have a real-world effect on a person, to believe that someone else deserves such inhumane treatment, whether in this life or any other.

But he did say "one of the most," not "the most."

  • LatumWay - I fully agree with you. When you sit down, and consider that idea of eternal suffering it is appalling. People have enormous trouble conceptualizing eternity.

But if I were in that room, I too would have been laughing because that man is SO ridiculous. He is a walking caricature of ignorance. Not to mention I don't for a moment believe it as an atheist. I would like to think that would be why the majority were laughing; AT him. That said, I didn't see the whole thing.

  • I dont believe in hell(or anything supernatural), but im afraid of the consept.

You cant laugh at the consept of hell once you experienced something terrible.

And knowing that hell is supposed to be infinitly worse.

  • I have to say i got a rootkit on my pc recently and I have had to reformat and reinstall every fucking thing (praise the Lord i keep my porn on a different partition). maybe Hitler doesn't deserve hell but the twat who propogated that rootkit does!!

  • argh wth is happening to the quality of your videos

  • great video, I agree completely.

  • It's astounding to me that people that believe this crap are allowed to walk around as if they were sane. We're going to need bigger asylums.....

  • I think laughing at it is a fantastic idea, far better than giving creedence to the idea it actually exists.

  • I can tell you what hell is like, it's full of Pakis and niggers. i live there.

  • faved.

Excellent video jacob, i appreciate it.

  • Hell is fairly recent, replacing the more 'sensible'- even if not perfect, idea of Purgatory, ie. Hell is where you go to pay for your sins BEFORE being allowed into heaven or, in the OT, hell, is Sheol, a dark place, where you wait for Judgement out of the sight of God. Both are based on aspects of the Greek concept Tartarus.

Hell was an evil idea create by evil people who wanted more power than they already had; it's all in the historical record.

  • @mrgodbehere the oldest writings we have of the sheol infer that sheol is simply the grave. that was the place they thought you wait for judgment day to come and you are either let into heaven or cast into oblivion never to exist again. which to me is somewhat less cruel as yes eternal nonexistence is an infinite punishment but you'd nolonger exist so you wouldn't care.

  • Laty - the reasons these people have for laughing are manifold - nervous embarrassment at being ina room with someone who believes in this nonsense; laughter at the notion of hell, which is clearly a fairy story; laughter that the subject of heaven or hell should come up in a civilised western country where, if people were honest, they'd admit they just don't believe in a god or gods.

  • hell only exists in a place known as 'Imagination Land'.

    Peace

  • jews don't believe in hell...he should have known that...its only when jesus meek and mild came around that hell came on the scene.

  • @iiiiblaze "jesus meek and mild?" you have been listening to hitchens? :p

  • @mythicalhell The legend

  • Right on! Very well put! How could a "benevolent" person even believe in such a thing?

  • "dude!"

    "~what?!"

    "hell sucks!"

    "definitely!"

  • Nicely done. Based on what is shown of the program, it seems safe to say we see the three various levels of commitment to (at least) one of the Abrahamic religions' claims among its adherents, i.e., the claim that there is eternal punishment after death (in a word, hell). The Muslim exhibited full commitment; the nun exhibited something less than that; and the theologian demonstrated no commitment to this claim (rather, he rejected it). Here's my issue. ...
