@THEHELENOHENZO actually, federal law has already banned federal recognition of ANY gay marriage, regardless of whether the states recognize it. By the way - it was the Democrats who gave us DOMA, and I would point to Robert Byrd's impassioned speech about "marriage as it is set forth in the holy Bible". Anti-gay sentiment is not a party problem, hon...it's a people problem. Prop 8 wouldn't have passed in CA without a hell of a lot of Democrat votes.
