anybody know the real deal about modding muffs and voiding my factory warranty?

Technically, if you modify anything on the bike, H-D says the original warranty is void. What changes is, if your modification causes a problem and can be proven by the mechanic, than H-D legally can refuse to honor their warranty. If you change the pipes, and say the charging system dies, the pipes didn't cause that so H-D would have to fix it.

WD-40  They will twist off rather easily after that

take the cans off and drill out the baffle.

damn, that's a GREAT sound! Does that mess with the warranty at all? Or do you not care? lol! I debaffled a Suzuki once, but I'm new to Harley and don't wanna jack my warranty up already. I've got an 08 nightster. I love the way the stock exhuast look, but it's WAY too quiet. I may go with Vance and hines straight shots, but I dunno. Debaffling is deffinetely an option.

I removed the inner baffle tube, and left the outer to do the job. send me your mufflers and 25 bux and I'll modify them for you.

Hey man, just a quick question, is that the high flow air intake you got on there?, if so how does it work for ya and is it the chrome one from harley powder coated, or did ya get it somewhere else?

its a force winder intake. I was in the process of testing the airflow but it turned off cold and icy, so I'll have to conyinue my comparison to a SE air cleaner come spring
