It's really awesome that they're doing this. Those who think that they are "selling out" need to take time out of their day to think about the difference between a change of pace and attempting to appeal to a broader audience by softening their music. It's quite obvious what Jamie's Elsewhere is doing, and it's blatantly not the latter.

THIS IS JUST AN EP, they like other music other than heavy music, and you should too. "out of love" is one of the most passionate songs I have heard in a long time, you cant show that kind of passion and emotion when its full of screams and breakdowns. Yes they are good heavy, and you will get heavy when they release their next full length. shut up and appreciate music.

I cannot wait until January 23rd when they are going to play at Pop's and I'll be able to watch and support my brothers in JE. Victory will regret their decision for sure. Watching them play these new versions of their songs is going to be amazing. I'm sure it will sound a lot better than the fist time i watched them a year and a half ago when they played in this place that wasn't even a real venue and couldn't get the sound right.

Playing the same heavy music can get monotonous and boring, so while we are writing our new record, we figured The "Reimagined EP" would be a refreshing change of pace; for us as well as our fans. A band who never really explores it's musical potential as far as different genres and different sounds, can fall into the trap of writing the same exact record all over again, which happens a lot in this subgenre of music. We can promise, that the next record will indeed be heavy, but will also.......

I am so confused. Do people not get the point of this EP? Yes, it has 4 redone songs and 2 new ones. There are no screams. JE didn't sell out (listen to "Like Sparks We Shine"), nor would they. They wanted to do a mellow EP before their new album. This EP is bomb. It sounds very well done and carries a lot of emotion. Don't hate on a band or a project just cuz you fail to understand it. If you want screams, ignore this and wait for new album. If you can appreciate this, be excited for Feb 14th!

Aaron has personaly said in an interview that he realy never listened to his own genre, that he listens to more mellow stuff, and he wanted to try some softer stuff because he felt like it. So im pretty sure you should take that back. I've personally talked to Matt about the new albulm and he said that a new albulm with screams will be released in early 2012 with a new label (he wasn't allowed to tell me who because of contractual reasons).
