No they aren't Metallica are a brilliant band that should be given huge credit for some of the things they have achieved. Ok in the mid 90's they got a bit lost and it took till they got a new bassist and direction that they got back to good old days with Death Magnetic. But they are great musicians and a great band. Completely different to Slayer, another great band.
