Thank youk, ncatt. Do you think you could possibly put the scene I mentioned on YouTube? I don't know if that is asking a lot but it was my favorite scene from the whole movie, where the Italian woman fights back in her own kitchen with all the pots and pans being thrown about and then she comes back into the restaurant right at the very end and sings the last few bars, LOL. I would love my grandchildren to see that scene because their mother and I watched it so many times.
There is another scene from "Adventure in Florence" where the bad guys come into the restaurant and a fight ensues in the kitchen, while the family is singing the Drinking Song, in Italian, of course. Do you happen to have this scene as well?
I don't think I've ever heard a bad word about Annette. Apparently, everybody who worked with her loved her. I met a guy who had played in a couple of the beach pictures and he had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. She was one of my first crushes, too. God bless her.
No, the voice of Nino Castelnuovo was provided by a young actor -singer -dubber Gianni Marzocchi, famous "ghost singer " for dubbing in italian musicals like My Fair Lady and Doctor Dolittle, he also played on stage the part of Freddy Einsford Hill in the italian production of My Fair Lady with Delia Scala as Eliza. Gianni also recorded "Bella Bella Florence" as a single with Annette!
We have one already, it's titled "Frankie & Annette, MGM Movie Legends Collection". This is a collection of 8 of their movies === Beach Blanket Bingo / How to Stuff a Wild Bikini / Beach Party / Bikini Beach / Fireball 500 / Thunder Alley / Muscle Beach Party / Ski Party.
keep it posted. The real dreamboy by Annette solo is the I like best altho this is entertaing too. It is usually the way it is with the doowop sound...in that it can't be duplicated, not by an older rocker like me that as an ear for the original recording. Thanks for posting.
This is not the original, but it sounds okey just the same. Besides we have a video to go along with that Dreamboy. The originals all sound better particularly when it comes to doowop sound. Thankyou for keeping this version avaliable.
I liked Tommy Kirk better with Annette in the Disney films than Tim Considine. His characters he played were always scummy. Tommy Kirk was always sweet with Annette.
For all young people in 2009... look at the youth and vitality of Annette. Unfortunately, read her biography... how tragic... we are all mortal... what a sad ending for such a classy lady.
It's true that nobody stays young and vital forever, yet Annette has dealt with her physical challenges with grace, courage, and acceptance. In her own words "God knows what he's doing.." By the way, she's still alive and has the love and support of her family, her Disney family, and her many fans. We just need to respect her privacy at this point, and send our prayers and love.
Annette Funicello is my ideal woman. She is virtuous, graceful, refined, articulate, a noble lady. I admire her for not following the salacious paths of other Hollywood actresses; she was true to herself and her values. Annette had a secure sense of self and purpose in life. I cannot think of any other actor/actress who exemplified Walt Disney's mission. Also, she sings so beautifully and has really progressed as a singer. It's no surprise that Tommy Kirk and that other guy would fight over her!
As near as I can tell, he did. You also have to consider this was 1962, TV and a studio recording with enhancements added. Not uncommon then or even now. Time has a way of changing how people sound.
I love this movie. My sisters and I used to watch this movie all the time. I never knew the title b/c the VHS tape only read "Annette". I later found out the movie's called "Escapade in Florence". It's a great movie and she's a great actress. I love this song!!!
That is very nice of you, thank you.

Someone needs to put on YOU TUBE
ANNETTE'S rare single recording of "Bella Bella Florence".

I love Annette because she's a 'good girl' but at the same time she's totally cool - she was never uptight or prissy. Awesome

3rd party statements are not always factual, nor are they welcome.

I truly envy ANYONE that ever had the opportunity to meet ANNETTE in person.
There are not enough words, or not enough letters in the alphabet to describe this wonderful, beautiful, sexy lady!

Back in the late 50's and 60's there were probably zillions that would have fought over her, not just Tommy, Nino or Frankie.

@ncatt Zillions I agree, but not Tommy Kirk.

I like Annette's single version of this song ~ I could do without that guy singing alongside her in this clip - her own record of DREAM BOY
actually hit the Charts back in the
early 60's although it wasn't one of her bigger Hits.
