  • True Chetan bhau. There was love when we lived in chawls but today with apartment culture the love and concern for one other has just vanished. I recall my days in Kalyan when I also lived in chawl . Those days are just immemorable. We loved each and everyone unlike today. Sivaramakrishnan Hyderabad

    फार सुंदर

  • heartrendingly beautiful ! No words to describe the beauty of the bhupali ! For moe than 50-60 years this has been a very much loved song..... what can a mere mortal say about this incomparably beautiful and celestial composition?.....

  • Indians be proud of your culture. Don't let your self-esteem and pride of being Indian be hampered by western education, ideals and culture. Its good in its own way, but at heart we are Indians and have a responsibility to cherish this inheritance and let it grow...stop being proud of how western and "modern" your children are. Feel ashamed if they are this but are out of touch with their roots instead. There is no greatness in being so called "modern"...its a one way path to soul destruction..

  • this bhupali give peace of mind

  • Athi sunder. Kitti vel eikle thari parat parat eikava asa vathey.

  • kharach kiti sunder hote te divas.. Technology takes us back to our past... I never thought of this ... I remember in our school days there was a story by pu.la.deshpande... Lahanpan dega Dewa....I used to think..I want to b big...

. But Today I wish to go back to our childhood...to that golden era... to those memories of Dahi Handi.. Rang panchami... playing patang,gotya,bhavra,rumal,langdi..and so much...watching movies on the street... Lokmanya vidaya mandir school.just want everything back.

  • This wonderful song ... even today since my childhood i am in love with this song and I wont hesitate to say that this song made morning (pahila prahar) even wonderful!

  • This one really stirs my mind - yes from a bygone Age of Innocence.

  • Such songs are not made everyday, they are made once in a lifetime. Thank you Vasant Desai for such an amazing composition. The brilliance of Marathi language coupled with some stalwarts such as Lalita Pawarji and Sandhya ji lift this almighty composition to an evergreen unforgettable classic. Jai Maharashtra my beloved Maharashtra :) Jai Jai Jai Maharashtra Majhya :) Ganpati Bappa Morya

  • atyant sundaram geetam !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Marathi aslyacha abhimaan aahe.

  • My Grand Mother use to sing this song. She use to stay in a Chawl in Dadar long time ago . In the age of innocence and when things were much simpler. The door toall the houses in chawls were always open, In vacation I would go to stay with her. I could walk into anybodys house and would be welomed and pampered with goodies, play with their kids, sleep there like your own home. and distincly remember listining to this song every day on a valve radio.during those days.

  • Yeah such is the purity of this song that it is not meant for this current, corrupted fast world. But there still some pure people in this fast world who enjoy the sheer simplicity of this GEM

  • @chetanwithlove so sad those good old days are gone so is the loving chawl family where every one was a big family now all flats with door closed so are the hearts

  • @chetanwithlove

we had the perfect " kibutz" before the word was even invented?? a commune /communal living??

some think that it is Primitive or 3rd world! Another name for prejudice if you ask me!

money certainly cant buy such harmony!

  • @chetanwithlove OMG I totally remember that even as latest as early 90s as a kid I could walk to anyone's house at my mom's place in Mumbai. Things were much simpler. People had less income but enjoyed life more! People didn't have to stay over time in the office. I remember my dad being at home at 6:15 pm and traffic was so less.

  • @chetanwithlove Even i had the same experience...thanks yaar for reminding me of my aaji......

  • What a pity waht we are turning this world into ijn the name of progress. This is one is traight from hearts of our generation who were lucky to have aai and Aaji's singing these for us! That home was heaven. Try and do our bit to retain our culture. MY children tborn/broought up in Singapore visit their grandparents every vacation and stay with them. Now my daughter is 21 but she takes great pride in taking care of her bedridden grandmother. My lifetime achievement!

  • Ek dum Zakasss!!

  • I Love this Song . I have no Words to Express how much Joy this Beautiful Song gives Me .

  • One of the rarest gems in Lataji's crown

  • hi, do u have 'aaj gokulaat rang khelto hari song?'

  • Reminds me of my aunt who sang this song in the mornings... Timeless song...

  • What a superb song! easy to sing too....

  • What a mesmerising song! Can go on and on listening!!

  • Birds chirp and roosters scream- mother is already clanking copper in the kitcher and all of them permit the blushing sun to rise.

I think of the green forests surrounding a mud cottage where I want to return.

This is truly a song to sing in the morning and it repels tiredness.

The video picturization is amazing as well but nothing can compare to the godliness of Lata's voice as she invokes visions with her renditions...

    AMAZING!!

  • classic morning radio song ... used to hear it almost evryday wen was a kid on radio. mom used to play radio in morning n this song used to be there for almost evryday. gives a nice feeling. gr8 song

  • This is an immortal song. There is a special feeling one gets while listening to this song in the morning. Atleast I feel that the day is going to be great. Some kind of positivity - similar to another great song - Jyoti kalash chalake from "Bhabi ki chudiyan" composed by Sudhir Phadke.

  • As a kid, I had heard this song on DD the first time when I was ~10 years..! Although I didnt understand the language, the music was so intoxicating and full of Bhakti that It went on to haunt me. Thanks to google, I remembered the song and recently bought the same song sung by Sudhir Phadke. Thanks for posting this great song.
