@snakeeater08 Depends, if you unlocked it using jailbreak..."erasing data & settings" via iTunes means it's back to factory settings without jailbreak means you may need to jail break again....However if your phone are purchased at countries that are "Unlocked" without jailbreak then erasing data & settings have no effects on the unlocked iPhone.

@Aimandude you need to end the facebook from running at the background, press the home button to close the app, then double tap the home button again to see the multitasking facebook icon below then press & hold the facebook button to wait for it to jiggle then end task it by closing the app in the multitasking icon.

@Naszuh you need to send to repair if your sleep button doesn't work otherwise it's very tricky when it shut down because of battery issue...and you can't turn it on because the sleep button is the on/off switch.

hi my iphone got stuck in the emergency call screen today i was on ios 4.3 and i held shift and clicked on check for updates and choosed ios 4.2.1 the one i took from apples update folder and i did that and then it said iphone has been complete updated to ios 4.2.1 and then i held shift and restore cuz i couldn't unlock it and then it restored to ios 4.2.1 again and then i could unlock it but i was stuck in the emergency call screen and itunes cant recognize it so what am i going to do?

@Mr99Padda You are stucked there after a restore? try restoring it again from the iTunes, if all else fails go to your local Apple Support office (the biggest the better) for consultation. If under warranty it shouldn't cost you a cent to get a replacement

@bilutu1 Firstly try the hard reset (press both sleep & home button and hold it) if it fails to boot back up, try connect to iTunes and restore but do that only if you have a back up of your data previously so you can restore your iPhone & sync your data back

@virgokys Try removing the last cydia app you had installed that are being used constantly like winterboard, backgrounder and etc. But if all fails...get iPhone 4 :D that will solve lots of stuff. Do no advice for JB lately as many are buggy beta versions

@poopooling my guess if you had jailbroken your iPhone using a tethered JB, go connect to your iphone via cable and JB again. If my assumption is wrong then u might need to restore your iPhone via itunes.

@darkprinceton connect to your pc or mac, open itunes, find on the left got your iPhone icon under devices, click it, then on your right click summary tab, then there's a restore button. click that. :D

After restore it's factory setting default mode. It will prompt u if you want to sync back all your old data, if you don't want then don't sync :D

@jomayhinlo For people who JB, it's recommended to soft restart once in a while just to reset the memory & battery readings. However try to find out what is the problem of the hanging a good recommendation is cydia app "SBSetting" that can see how much memory is left and you can click "processes" & kill some of the apps that are using too much of your memory thus hanging...or reboot your iPhone via SBSetting too...that is very very good.

Search SBSetting in youtube :D
