  • awesome music as good as top gear's :D

  • There was a subliminal message in one channel, I don't rember if it was the left of the right, saying "do not copy this game".

  • superb

  • TURPENTINE!

  • @Meticcio696

I remember my old brothers giving me the cheats to this game. Turpentine being the last one and to get to the second stage was " Pea Soup"

  • This brings back sweets from my deepest layers of ma brain. Shit im like 8 again.

  • DUX and TURPENTINE forever!! :-)

  • it was an amazing computer era. lotus, civ1, lemmings, jaguarxj220, 1869, north and south, defenders of the crown, superfrog, agony, giana, cannon fodder, silk worm and many many (...) many many more. all with awesome music. i'd grow up with this shit anytime again ♥

  • Oh, Amiga - the best computer in the world:)

When I hear or see "Lotus", I always hear this music in my head.

  • Hehe, amiga in Spanish means female friend.

  • oooooh myyy God! ;)

  • Extra time.....turbo!!! :-)

  • "You don't copy this game."

  • Epic .

  • the music gives me goosebumps.... man i miss the 90's and my Amiga

  • Turpentine :)

  • Atari ST music for lyfe dawggys

  • @LUNAPOLICE very true, because the Atari ST had a midi port, making it the superior machine for music production. Even up to 5 years ago music producers were still using Atari ST's for music production....

  • @Ribbo

no they werent they were using mac's

  • AMIGA = kicking ass. and the Music was out of this world and way ahead of it's time.

  • chik chik chicka ahhhhh lol

  • I get goosebumps when I listen to this.

  • sounds like oh yeah by yellow.

  • first game i ever managed to play multiplayer with 4 players using a serial port.

  • There is no better racing game. Period. OMG is that the feeling of nostalgia?? I never thought I would become one of them.

  • DUX!!!

  • I remember playing that for hours. Enhanced the lotus bug i got from spy who loved me. Was lucky enough and still have my 89 Esprit today.

  • that was the best amiga song. and f1.

  • Thumbs up if you bought several Lotus cars because of this game, like I did.

  • @rogerpenna i would if i could afford it :D stil dreaming of owning an elise :)

    Screw ferraris and that shit

  • This takes me back.

  • ...good old days!

  • I remember this!

  • Amiga was so ahead of its time!

  • i cant remember things from school like math-formula BUT i sill know the password TURPENTINE! even if its 15 years ago!

  • the amiga had some of the best sound tracks ever just hearing this makes me want to go on my amiga lol

  • wow

  • Simply the best sound track ever - i miss my Amiga days so much. Thanks for uploading.

  • AMIGA > Stands for:

    Amiga

    Music

    Isn't

    Going

    Anywhere

Because it is here to stay, 20 years later no one will remember Xbox or Playstation music, Amiga will live on until the end of time. Life is over as we know it. Amiga was born so there is nothing left in the world to perfect. Gods work has been done, we may aswell all just lay down.

  • @ZroDfects

    So true Pal

  • @ZroDfects

At some point there will be no people left who grew up with an Amiga.

  • @Snowwie88 . Grew up with Amiga yes but not growing with. More and more people are still buying Amiga consoles now, most are ones that never had the Amiga, Pixel Art is still big now and getter bigger than ever, some games are actually still being made for the Amiga today, Amiga OS systems are around now and alot of people are getting into more. Amiga games are getting re-created for current consoles like Ipad2 etc, Cinemaware are still around, I will be a game tester for Hybris soon, can't wait

  • @Snowwie88 I'm trying to keep mine in working condition so my kids will experience it. I will make them!

  • Gaming music from the 80's and 90's was the best ever, they simply don't make gaming music like this anymore because they use actual music tracks rather than being creative and making tunes from scratch.

  • so true i wasted so many hours and days playing this classic, i forgot how good the music was to fucking awesome game!!!!!

  • Loved the subliminal message in the music. Of course, you had to rip the music to hear it...

  • i agree with u guys, amiga time was best time ever :) games was amazing , not like today when peples looks on graphics ...and otehr shit :)

    amiga pwn

  • best time !

  • It was the best computer-time ever! I have bought 17 Amiga 500, only to get sure, that nothing gets broken :)

  • best racing game theme tune ever lol

  • I FUCK 10 DISLIKE SON OF A BITCHES!

  • @dravencarnage they were Atari ST owners... haters will hate xD

  • One of the best game title music. Lotus Turbo Challenge II and Turrican II was my first games on AMIGA. Heavenly times!

  • Chk-chik-chikka!

  • good old early 90's house

  • Miss amiga times! :)

  • This was my first game to see and hear on Amiga 500 back in 1991... I won't forget that day till my last breath...

  • Nice Music and Nice Game!!!!!! Amiga Forever I still own 2!!!!!!

  • I know there is a lot of love for this neat tune but in truth it was a borrowed idea as the original goes by the name of "Shannon - Let The Music Play" which is an 80's classic!! One of Barry Leitch's most cheesiest gaming sound tracks he ever came up with and I'm sure he knows it as well. :-P

    Enjoy: watch?v=uB_dYLTHsPA

  • I swear that this "ch-ch-ch-yeahh" is take from Yello's Oh Yeah track :)

  • its any one know id of this track ??

  • I'm crying singing this music! I can't stop. Pleaseeee, kill me!!!!!

  • Do you find this cool lotus music in mp3 format?

  • Ready, set, go !

  • 9 people never owned a Lotus!

  • @meganico98

I nearly bought a Lotus, but it was *just* too much, so I bought a skyline instead....

    Cool cars though...

  • @WatchRyder a Skyline eh? awesome car! and it's Japanese!

  • @meganico98

I know, a shame I had to sell her....

  • @WatchRyder aw gee.... you could have tuned it like many Skyline possessors do...

  • @meganico98

Well it was already tuned when I bought it, but not to a heavy level or anything.

Stock skylines (R34s) are about 285 bhp. Mine was running about 310 bhp.

Once you start going crazy on the tuning the engines need a rebuild sooner than an untuned engine...

  • sûrement l'un des meilleurs jeux de voiture avec Vroom sur AMIGA....

    many thxs for posting

  • <3

  • 90's epicness

  • I remember when my brother used to play this on "our" amiga. Damn i get so freaking nostalgic when i hear this song :')

  • I miss the Amiga so much. At least a decade ahead of it's time, and some of the most memorable games and music ever made. Long live Amiga!

1:32 puts a chill up my spine every time!

  • If the original amiga and games were to be re-released and the developers worked on new games and sequels etc onto video game shelves and keeping to the same 4 channel music tracks and awesome pixel graphics, I would sell my PS3, 360 and Wii....

  • I like how PS3 fans say that Turismo is the best and 360 fans say Forza is the best etc. Well fuck em... Lotus is the best. This should be in the records book as the best racing car game ever made. I own a PS3 and a 360 and a silly Wii yet they aren't as fun as what I had with the Amiga, every game had awesome music and 100% replay value. There were so many times I was late for school because I couldn't turn it off.. The future has passed so gaming gets worse from here on in.... R.I.P. Amiga...

  • @ZroDfects AMEN! so f***in' true

  • @ZroDfects welll while i agree with you to some extent, you gotta acknowledge that most of that fun was had simply because you were a kid and enjoyed it more.

  • @ToonstaTV .. I disagree with that actually, you were right I was a kid at the time, but even now I still play it on my emulator and I still play two players and so on, I still play Super Cars etc I still loved them and the soundtracks as much as I did then as if it was only yesterday, I used to play with He-man toys when I was a kid but not anymore obviously but I love video games more than anything, I have gaming systems in every room, including my cinema room. Amiga is best :)

  • @ZroDfects yes but of course, these good old "first" video game memories hold a lot of nostalgic and sentimentaly value now as well, but I totally get what you're saying, and I've got old games of my own that I feel the same about :) Too bad I never got to play this (or any amiga for that matter, not even sure it was released in Norway, I've never met anybody who had it here), cus this music is definitely giving me awesomechills

  • @ToonstaTV ... I thought you played this before? I am in Australia and I knew alot of people who had this game and like myelf had all the series

  • @ZroDfects no man, unfortunately not. I was just browsing the web for good old 8 bit tunes when I came past this gem :)

  • @ToonstaTV ..Sorry to hear that you haven't had the chance to play the actual game or even the series... You should atleast get hold of the Amiga emulator and try the games that way on the PC. I have the game files if you need it. I have all 3 games. Have you heard the music for Lotus 3 ? also aweseom tunes, if you have a nice audio system then Lotus 3 title music is a must for your ears :P

  • @ZroDfects the Amiga lives on my friend on the English Amiga Board forums, I have also nearly completed an update on an old P.D game a friend and I created back in 1995 called Renegades.

I own a p.c and Skyrim, but I STILL play Heroquest, Space Crusade and the Lotus games on an Amiga emulator on my p.c...Long live the Amiga....

  • @lordnipple ... What system will you creating this updated P.D. Game ?..... I created a few P.D. games on the Amiga back in the day with S.E.U.C.K. and AMOS etc but there was only 1 that I was proud of which I lost all my work which was called 'Space Wing' done on the S.E.U.C.K. which I believed used up as much of the usable memory as possible lol. I have thought about creating it again on Game Maker or something.

  • @ZroDfects Hi! Pleasure to meet you, so to speak! Our update and original game was made in Amos, unfortunately the programmer isn't as dedicated to the cause as I am and so the update keeps hitting brick walls...it's nearly there though and it's taken 15 years to get to this point haha.

I will have to check out your game!

  • @ZroDfects F'ing amen brother. So true.

  • @ZroDfects so, i've played this again after a zillion year, was freakin excited and got my ass whoooooped by it. love this game!

  • @udsuresh0t .. Yeah, I still play it today.

  • It was a great time!

  • great music, i never forget this game

  • aah childhood memories, use to love this game! the music on this game was tooo sick!

  • good game never fish it the game was not on line

  • TURPENTINE !!!

  • HOLY FUCK, FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING! DAT BASS IS GREAT!

And no, no caps lock mode.

  • the Amiga was like the Prius of now...ONE HELLUVA MACHINE.

  • Best amiga game music intro !!! It's gr8

  • Like for so many here, this was one of THE definite games and especially game soundtracks as a kid and I thought, I *need* to have this yellow car SOME DAY. The stuff Amiga had and could do got me into demoscene, creating stuff and eventually setting up a game company. After some hard times I had a bit of luck and some money by porting - what else - an AMIGA game for the iPhone. And guess what.. I bought myself this exact same yellow Lotus Elan. This is a 100% true story! AMIGA = MAGIA.

  • Tic-Tic-Tic Kha :D

  • The AMIGA was a very powerfull MACHINE in this time

  • oh my god! all those childhood memories *___* :D

  • roooaaaaarrrr Checkpoint!!!!!!! ^^

  • Damn this fucking brilliant bassline! Two Amiga 500 - Crosslink Cable - 4 Players - PURE Awesomeness!

  • Great racing game. Many a race had with my best pal in the early 90s.

  • love the music and the game

  • this brings back so many memories its almost too much to take :D Good times !

  • Best car game EVER!

  • best of!!!

  • AMIGA FOREVER !

  • I know. You'd never hear that awesome bass or colourful tune in today's racing games. Nobody composes music for games anymore :'(

  • This music reminds me of playing my Amiga with my dad as a kid....i miss my dad :(

  • @SexyDraenei sorry to hear that....at least you have some nice memories....

  • @SexyDraenei God bless your Daddy my friend!

  • @SexyDraenei

    where is he now?

  • Comment removed

  • @SexyDraenei heh :) great comment

  • @SexyDraenei i miss my amiga

  • @d0nramon i still have mine :P

  • @SexyDraenei that brings a tear to the eye

  • That was the time, when the best part of the game was kept in players's mind - genuine masterpiece. If i had to choose one tune to survuve the nuclear war, i would choose this one!

  • This game got better graphics than Trackmania 2 lol

  • Chic-chic-chic-a

    Oooooh yeeeeah.

  • I miss that time...:-(

    Who needs a xbox 360 or a ps3....amiga forever...

  • Turbo!

  • Massive nostalgia wave!!! WOW!!!

  • The soundtrack of my gaming childhood:)

  • Shit... almost cried!

  • Takes me back to the amiga & mega drive days :D feck the games of tday !!!

  • This tune sounds a million times more professional and up to date than most other games out at the time including all the other lotus turbo challenge games, that all sound like the stereotypical 8-bit game music

  • Arghh! Da Lotus Legend Lives! Takes me bakc to the days when I would play this and send my sister out to buy kebabs. Too bad she forgot the chilli sauce one day and I had to kill her. RIP sis

  • Modern racing games? No! Amiga come back and never go away :)

  • this is one of the games where i let the intro finish before i started the actual game

  • @farerse or boot it up without having any intention of starting the game

  • Absolutely one of the best game musics ever.

  • Cannot stop banging my head and tapping my toes.

  • I don't know how well informed and in the now are you with the today's trends, but this kind of music is yet going to come. the 80es revival. ferrari testarossa autodrive and sh*t :)

  • <3

  • best ever m8

  • We have PS 2 Xbox Gamecube Ps3 and others "super stuff" And so what?? I think so Amiga and C64 are the both the most incredible and greatest systems in our era when they only appears. My opinion

  • @Masterinho1988 That's fuckn true man. Amiga kicks ass.

  • @Masterinho1988 true :]

  • The best thing about 8bit/16 bit computers is that THEY STILL WORKS.

Use your Xbox, PS3 or PC for couple years, store it in basement/attic for 10 years and then try to use. Nowadays we we use disposable technology because of the loop:

10 buy more powerful computer and OS to buy latest applications

20 buy latest applications to discover your computer and OS is not powerful enough

    30 go to 10

  • Simply awesome, i still have Amiga500 with this game somewhere in my house :D

That old, but amazing amiga... I miss that times :<

  • This is unbelievable computer game music, amazing. I love it since my childhood. Amiga was great computer.

  • anyone know how this tune is called ??

  • Lotus 2 @ amiga 500 will always stay on my memories. Great back then and still is!

  • damn, I'll buy myself new set of joysticks, bring my A600 and play ASAP :D

  • Il primo gioco che ho mai visto dell'Amiga... Mi cadde la mascella per terra quando sentii questa musica e vidi il gioco!!!

  • AGA 1200 music ;)

  • back in the day...

  • Awesome game, awesome music. This is where it all started. Brings me right back to my childhood. Rock on lotus

  • awesome amiga game, hitting bridges at 200mph and car kep going lol......Love the music, might have to remix it....

  • The good old Amiga-Times... thanks.

  • Does this tune remind anyone else of Shannon - Let The Music Play ?

  • @abitrich kinda oposite for me i was at work last night and heard let the music play and it reminded me of this

  • @abitrich No, but that was a good record

  • AtariXE130, Amiga, Megadrive1, Supernes, playstation, ps2...........I liked playing the Amiga more than any of them.

  • @LeeHoxton1 yeah. best memories from games are from Amiga games

  • @paskahousus I can't explain why, but I always used it more. I had shadow of the beast +2 and they pissed all over the Megadrive's Altered Beast.

  • @LeeHoxton1 yeah I got those colourful kid's games like Fire & Ice, Superfrog, Fury Of The Furries and of course some legends like Canon Fodder, Alien Breed, Lotus, and god knows what. Anyway Amiga is amazing and it has some very cool games.

  • @paskahousus About 3/4 of my games were picked up illegally at bus garage markets for £2-00 and I had a load of copy programmes like X-Copy 3. We'd all swap games. There was always one blonker who had the Atari St. We all had the 500. I havd the Atari XE130 before my 500/Megadrive.

Alien Breed was awesome. Golden Axe was good. There were some games that were as good, if not better than the Megadrive.

Wings was s favourite. Even some of the crap games were additive, like Lost Patrol

  • @LeeHoxton1 I also had Golden Axe... great game. and yes more than half of our games back then were illegal copys or cracks. there was a "famous" reseller in Finland in 1990's. lot's of our games were bought from him and his commercial disk is still with other games. 15 years later I bought some Amiga stuff from him :D he is still on it.

  • @paskahousus I've always been interested trying to get back on the Amiga. I've got mine, but I haven't got the power pack, mouse, modulator anymore. Where can I get these? I basically swapped most of my games in the 90's for a couple of BMX's and 50 nicker. I've got the original Lemmings 2 and Battle of Britain left. A pirate copy of Speedball 2 and F-19 Stealth. I feel like a right prat for doing that.

  • @LeeHoxton1 therse always the winuae emulator

  • @knusern666 Have you got?

  • @LeeHoxton1 yeah you can get it at winauedotnet

  • @paskahousus

Out of curiosity, how would someone compare the older Alien Breed games to the newer Alien Breed games. I never had an Amiga and was curious what the older Alien Breed games were like.

  • @laughingfurry in my opinion there is no similarity between Amiga's Alien Breed and for example PS3's Alien Breed. I think new Alien Breed is horrible. i'd rate gameplay 1/5. Old Alien Breed's are fun shoot 'n' run games. kill aliens, collect keys and be the hero :D easy and entertaining.

  • @fredmooretwo your not wrong, especially Turrican games. Projext X had good musix IIRC

  • pls transport me back to those days of the amiga :(((

where's that fuckin time machine when you need one hehe
