I can't for the life of me get Judas or Kyles Hi-ougis to work. I can get Lonis no problem it's just Kyle and Judas. Maybe I don't have the right things equipped.

Some comments I'd like to make...

First: Yeah, I hate this part of the game. XD I especially hate it later on when you have to travel through Fitzgald to get the stones for the Aqualabyrinth. I only did that once... ;_;

Second: Judas' Atk+^ attack is considerably faster, so try to use that one more often :p

Judas' first Hi-Ougi is really awesome :D Thinking back about a year, I figured I'd have enough money by now, for a Swap Magic and ToDR, ToR, and possibly ToD2....and I only have $64...kinda stupid of me to forget about birthdays and Christmas shopping..

This is the original PS2 version, not the PSP port.

There isn't a PS1 version, but the original Tales of Destiny is on the PS1, this game is the sequel to it.

That's Tales of Eternia, it was renamed to Tales of Destiny II in North America.

This is a video of the REAL Tales of Destiny 2, it's only been released on the PS2 and PSP.

What exactly makes the "Sprits Blaster" activate so you can do Hi-Ougis?

Pretty much everything you do in battle, but you don't need to be in Sprits Blaster. You can also use Reala's SP share ability on her spells.

Yeah, that's the same one from ToDR that he can't use outside of that one battle.

Maybe they'll let us use it in the Director's Cut?

You just need to be on Hard Mode or above to get it, it doesn't matter what playthrough you're on. (I went ahead and tried to get it with it set on Second to make sure, and it doesn't work.)

Well, there would be the chance that somebody outside the party would recognize him, after all in ToD2's world the Swordian Masters and Swordians are very well known, they even had Swordian replicas on display in a museum (although Chal wasn't on display, since him and Lion are considered traitors, and they don't want them in the same place as the Four Heroes).

I have a question. When you use a healing spell is the target whoever has the most damage?

It's usually targeted at the person with the least HP at that time, but you can also manually select who it gets used on.

Also, I couldn't have seen that directly. Reala has TP-based moves? Consider she acts far more as the caster compared to the other three (especially Loni) That's something I didn't expect.

Everybody has TP-Based attacks, and everyone gets spells, though Kyle is the only one who can't do extensions with his spells.

Then I have to say again, it makes more logical sense for her to use spells from the back, if her stats were any indication at the start of this video. Despite having average stats in areas, those averages are pretty damn low.

Yeah, she's best casting from the back, but it's good to have a few melee moves that you can use in case the enemies move in alittle too close for comfort.

Or, if she's low on TP, and you don't feel like using an item at the moment.

The more I see, the more I want to play it. Man, Japan made a big mistake not selling this and Rebirth here.

Well, the decision to localize or not was in the hands of Namco America, not Namco Japan.

But, the two Tales games they localized before didn't do so well, so I guess they didn't want to risk it.

As for Rebirth, it was released right after Symphonia, so the only reason I can think of for them not wanting to localize it would be because they were afraid 2D wouldn't sell well here.

But, I agree with what others have said, they need to do more advertising over here, for them to do better.

Good question, i remember he thrust "You Know Who" into an "Eye" but it he just magically popped out, ANSWER PLEASE =D

If I remember correctly, "You Know Who" doesn't get thrust into a certain something until much later on.

It doesn't have anything to do with the story or anything, but you can use him as a weapon for Judas as a reward for defeating a certain boss in the PSP version.

It'd actually be nice if you could use maskless Judas without using Majin Messatsuen's extensions. Dunno why, but the mask just annoys me.

Nice vid! Yes you can wing it with a guide on gamefaqs. They have a story synopsis up there, and game system explanation there too. I have this on PSP,its an amazing game. I know very little japanese and I got on fine, you pick up the game system gradually.

Odd. The mini-map looks exactly like the one done in ToDR remake, but has the function from Rebirth.
