Jason, I saw you both at Club Verdi last night. You both were awesome. The kid is incredible. So poised, so talented, for such a young kid! Is there a solo video of him playing that is posted anywhere?
I have seen the Berkeley Music videos, but those were when he was younger and the sound quality wasn't very good... I guess I'm looking for a performance video. I mean, this kid could try out for America's Got Talent! Really amazing.
I teach private lessons via internet using the free service called SightSpeed. I record the lesson on my end and send you a download link for the video file. My website also has many lessons available 24/7. flamenco-lessons (dot) com
JASON whats the chances of getting online tutition from you. I have been playing flamenco on and off for over 20 yrs but i now live on a remote island called Guernsey and there are no flamenco teachers.
I have a lot of technique but dont really play much stuff and need some guidance.. what are the chances?
Haha, he's even got Paco's long hair, too bad it's not curly enough. I just hope it doesn't grow so long it tickles his fingers and the strings while he plays.
Age really doesn't matter. If you approach flamenco with the same enthusiasm you will play the way you want to. Decide how it is you want to play and then you will figure out how to make it happen. It will be work, but the work is all of the fun. It all about the journey, not the destination.
True, I'm learning from a teacher named Dennis Koster who was taught by Mario Escudero and Sabicas. Lucky me, he's only doing half of it though. I have the practice to gain the other half.
Thanks for the encouragement man! I was just saying, he's quite lucky. I tried a little Bulerias on my own, pashaswease horrible. Now I really appreciated Bulerias.
I've never seen a student and teacher look that happy while jamming before!
You guys are having so much fun! What a great thing it is for Roberto to have an all time great Flamenco player as his own personal maestro! Good Luck and i'm sure we will be downloading his albums very soon.

Visit BerkleyMusic(.)com
There is a page on that website devoted to Roberto and there are videos from the time he was 8.

That's awesome, I wish I could play Bulerias already! Maybe I should practice more. He's lucky he started young!
I'm 16 but I feel I started late, but I guess a lotta practice could make up for it.
