  • what do u mean (custom) dodge seats????

unless you narrowed the seats/consule it would b too wide!!!

tell me more .i got a 76 f 250 ,i got a set of 98 dodge buckets and my measure tape says there too wide . what did you do ???

  • Great truck but I think people click dislike because of the music. I never ever want to hear music when I'm looking for cool truck/engine videos. I want to hear technical information or nothing at all. Cool truck tho.

  • hey what was the fuel mileage in that thing

  • Sweet truck only complain would be the splitter being in the bed. But still Kick ass

  • Will stay with our 460 bored .60 over to a 472 with a huge lunati cam headers aluminum intake and heads ya it is just fine for us granted not as good on gas but sure is fast especially in our 79 F250 supercab but its only two wheel drive.

  • how do you get motor to bolt up to tranny where could i go to get started??

  • nice truck i wanted to try to do a 4bt in an older ranger. like 1987 ranger but cant find the 4bt motor

  • has this truck had the headlights changed cause the 78 had round headlights the 79 had the square ones as shown on this truck

  • @4321ramones 78 ranger xlt f trucks had square headlights stock. All lower model 78s had round headlights

  • take that shitty ass fuckin cummins motor out of there and put a real motor in it maybe like a 429 cobra jet or 460 over all nice pickup.

  • Snowman44077... They do in fact put 4bt ISB Cummins engines in F-250 and F-350's from the factory down in South America so according to you, this engine is a " Ford Cummins "

  • Snowman44077... No no no no no NO, not a Dodge Cummins!!! Its a Cummins engine, nothing DODGE about it , in fact its a 4bt Cummins, they didnt put these engines in any dodge ever( unlike the 6bt). Thats like saying a 350 cummins or a N14 cummins is a " dodge cummins "

  • nice, i have that same motor in my tractor

  • just sold the motor and trans to a friend of mine, he swapin it into a 93 ford f150 2wd. the motor realy tweaked up now. i cant wait to see how it works out. want to know if anyone is interested in the rest of the truck. im starting a new project. 4bt in a jeep.

  • Ford truck with Dodge Cummins and Seats. ForCumDodge!

  • would of been better without the stupid music !!!!

  • name of the song please!!

  • @mirc225 Paralyzer

  • love the exhaust man

  • hey ive got a 74 f-250 i want to do a diesel conversion how much did it cost and what was involved. PM me if you can or w/e thanks.

p.s. check my channel to see it

  • Were could you tell me were you got the transmission adapter ? I have a 79 same color i would like to put a 4bt in . so i am doing my home work.

  • im putting a 6bt in my '94 f150, im not sure if ill be swapping the motor onto the ford frame or not i may just swap the bodys if i can find a complete dodge.. but if not i have to add a front end and tcase (my fords only 2wd for now)

  • sick. finally someones done something good to a ford! shoulda put a 5.9 in tho! in all seriousness, nice clean truck

  • @lifeofrileycardigan every cummins from 89 to 2007.5 is a 5.9 regardless of 1st gen 12 valve. 2nd gen 12 valve, 2nd gen 24 valve, the common rail. still a 5.9

  • @promod4068 yes i know. but this truck has a 4BT in it, wich is 3.9L, a 6BT is 5.9 or 6.7L

  • lifeofrileycardigan, my brother put a 5.9 in his 01 ford, i have vids of it, and im putting a 5.9 in my 78 f250

  • So is it just me or does the 4BTA sound like a tractor?

  • @Logs0012 hahaha no its not you after all it is a tractor engine anyways so infact you are quite in your mind not out of it

  • dude i just wanna tell u that u did an amazingly clean swap on this truck. 5 * for sure. good job

  • Comment removed

  • good job, engine bay looks like a good clean setup! how hard was this swap? got a 84 chevy me and my dad been thinkin about puttin a 4bt in.

  • Put a 6bt in the chevy!,make it sound like a 18 wheeler truck!

  • ya since i posted that i decided id put a 1st gen 6bt in because of the simplicity of it. already got the donor truck, and blew up the shitty 305 in a strip job lol

  • Hey now, I see Jersey tags. Where from bro. In the south here. Btween Philly and AC. Nice rig. I have an old 78 250 that I used to mudd. Been wanting to do a diesel swap. Wife wants me to sell it. Yeah right!

  • warren county. its near the delaware water gap.

  • I completely understand why you put a cummins in good job BUT why the fuck a 4bt??? with a few mods you could have def fit a full size 5.9 12v cummins in there!!!!! wtf! regardless nice truck

  • Bet he gets better than 20 mpg city in that truck. There are guys out there running the same sort of setup getting over 25 mpg with plenty of torque to get the job done.

  • @Txpsd9673 it is only a half ton truck,

  • @Txpsd9673

Most people who do swaps don't want power. A 4bta provides enough power and better mileage than a 6bta usually does.

  • i would so drive that nice job look grate

  • hey i love the seats, can u take a few pics and tell me how conferable they are in that regular cab?, i have the same truck and i want those kinda seats, that would be sick.

  • Ummmm......good luck getting a 302 to pump out the torque a cranked up 4bt will make.

  • Just curious why you'd put a 4 banger diesel in a full size? It seems like the HP is low at estimated 108 and the torque is around 268 which isn't much better than a 4.0l engine in a ranger. I understand gas mileage is nice but why not drop in a 302 or something where you'd have WAY more HP and more torque ?

  • cause thats to original. I like to be a little different. not to many 78's are diesel powerd. Its not a race truck by any means but it runs realy good for a 3.9L

  • you can also make a few cheap modifications and end up with 300hp and 600lbft you'll just lose some of that factory 30-35mpg

  • oh yeah, nice truck, just don't like that style of pipes, to each his own though.

  • @mixwell1983

Depends on the version. The newer 4BTs are 130 hp and 355 ft-lbs

  • @mixwell1983 I take it you no nothing about engines. Well even at stock power it will out tow a small block all day long and get 4 times the milage. However bump up a little and your talkin some raceing power. You could get 300 Hp and 600 pounds of torque farely easy! K hp on a diesel is twice the power compared to gas. Oh yea it will out live all your rigs put togeather! Understand now? NICE FORD!

  • I had a 79 bronco i was going to put a 7.3 litre IH v8 diesel in never did.

  • Nice is it for sale?

  • very clean set of wheels!!! cummins 4bt finds its way into a few diff things.. again man.. clean.. nice work

  • your a dodge truck man in a ford body :p

  • I want to see it go man!

  • nice truck. i'm planning a putting in a 4bt in a like yours and i was wondering if you could answer some question. what mileage does it get and how did it go together what parts and the like? if you could it would be awesome.

  • I used 3m duble sided tape. didn't want to screw the piller up. works good enough for me.

  • nice truck i c the gauges now how did u mount the ones on the side?

  • Looks good I like it alot
