Will the Jailbreak 3.0 be able to activate the Ipod 3G or is it only that program and I would have to activate it some other way. For some reason, Iliberty and Ziphone are not working for me any other programs im able to use?

Bamster, you're not making alot of sense. there is no iPod 3G. it has yet to be released (this fall mabie, but it's still the summer, the iPhone season.

but if you're talking about activation troubles on an iPhone 3G, you are barking up the wrong tree. ZiPhone and iLiberty were tools used by users looking for a jailbreak on the 1.1.x firmwares, for their original iPhone (2G) or the 1st gen iPod Touch. You, from what i understand, are not on the first gen iPod Touch or the Original iPhone, and that makes you not on the 1.1.x firmwares, you, at the oldest, are a 2.0 guy. use Pwnage tool to hacktivate, and you should be good to go.
