uhm ur straighter is shit! lol first of all if u really wanna straighten his hair right u have to put it in all parts and straighten it by small pieces of hair ,,,with tht straighter it would prob take like 2 hours! cuz my hair is super curlyyy but not like his lol hope my advice worked!

that straightener sucks and so does ur technique. try a hotter straighter, some oil or something to make his hair less dry, comb the hair before straightening it and separate the hair into sections. dont just straighten it without preparing the hair. cause it sucks. hope this helpd to improve!
