For everyone asking "how-to":

It's isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol; you put some in a bottle (preferably glass or something non-flammable), shake it up until it COMPLETELY evaporates (capping the top with your hand/cap), then light it up. Same principle as most rocket engines really, just much smaller scale.

Most available fuels aren't going to burn hot enough or expand quickly enough the cause the jar to break. Pretty simply, you're going to use up all the available oxygen really rapidly. Now, if you pumped some N2O in there first, you might have a problem. You can adapt formulas used for rocket boosters to figure out how much force is being applied to the glass; the body of the jar being the combustion chamber and the opening being the nozzle.

Not that dangerous, you can actually do this with those 5 gallon water containers. since its an open container, there isn't much pressure inside. the reason why there was a flicker of dubstep at the end. Was the air was the limiting reactant, when all the oxygen was burns, the system created a vacuum to inhale more oxygen. Once the right percent of oxygen was in the system the excess fuel started to react.

*SERIOUSLY* Do not do this. I was just watching some related videos and stumbled upon this. I did this with a jar in my basement when I was a kid and a couple times it made this cool 'wooshing' flame, but one time it burned up so quick that it was more like an explosion, and it shattered the jar and sent pieces of glass flying in all directions. My friend and I got some pretty bad cuts. We found some BIG pieces scattered against the walls, and we werent even wearing safety goggles. DONT DO THIS!

I did somthing like this before. Took 3 lighters, held down the fuel button without igniting, and after about 2 minutes of this, i light it. Exact same results as this. Sped it up by spraying deoderant in there XD
