Obama 08, Big Up to Bushwick and Bed-Stuy areas of Brookyln..... MES of MSD Posie from back in the 90's right here....... Hhahaahaha... King of the L and M lines Bitches!!!!
I laughed. I was quite amused. Why do Bible references make you angry? If you don't believe, then you shouldn't care? Are you jealous that people find peace in their lives by following Jesus? and possibly your life isn't so great, and they are all so happy?
I have no problem with people enjoying science fiction like the bible, but when they apply it to life here in the 21st century it does bother me. And to answer your question, I don't need an ancient piece of propagaganda to find piece in my life. We all have our vices, and I guess for some folks the bible is the drug of choice.
The philosophy of forgiveness and love works to keep them happy. When someone insults you, do you start a fight with them, or forgive them and go on your way? If you would rather fight, that's fine. I don't expect you to do cocaine just because it makes people happy. I like Jesus because he was a rebel who made a whip and beat the bankers with it. I go to an Episcopal Church where REASON trumps the Bible. We have a gay Bishop. Most people don't want peace. They like being angry. I'll pray 4 you.
Skip the praying; My girlfriend prays for me every night in vain. I like Jesus too, and I never said anything negative about him. It's bible worshippers I have a problem with. Seems that most of them have forgotten what their savior preached.
This is soo crazy. I have lived in New York City my whole life and have seen alot of nutty stuff but not with the whole train involved! I wish I was there with a little tamberine when the gospel music broke out lol
Was that to me? No, I don't vote as it encourages them and gives them a 'mandate'. Well you saw what Bush did with his one.. As for ignorance read up on the CFR, the Rothchilds or for that matter the Electoral College - and learn to spell. You expect real change from a man who voted for the PATRIOT Act, the bailout etc etc? Bush 1st campaigned on a 'humble' foreign policy, no nation building and balanced budgets but is that what you actually got? Don't listen to their speeches, look at actions
It's nice to see people so happy - but I'm also saddened that the election of a mainstream politician arouses such excitement. You think YOU elected him? No, he was groomed for the role and spoon-fed to you as somehow 'different'. There is no difference of substance but even more power now. Celebrate while you can, for America's decline has already begun.
Shut up? Yelling and screaming on the subway is fine but I'm not to text my fecking opinion? You shut up, asshole. Majority opinion does not equal righteousness and all too often it has equalled mass delusion, from tulip crazes to American housing bubbles. Land of the Free, Free Speech - but "shut up" if someone is less than impressed at an establishment's pick winning a political office that is already far more powerful than the constitution ever authorised? Fascist fuck, shut up yourself.
This video is a wonderful example of life in a wonderful City. New Yorkers rejoicing over an historic election and an historic new president. Its a refreshing expression of relief and joy over the end of 8 ruinous years of republican misrule and incompetence. Imagine complete strangers celebrating like old friends. Its another affirmation of the spirit of the American people and another affirmation of life in New York City, the greatest city in the world
It's good to party, I would say party now you still can. I hate to be in the shoes of all those who will have the harshest rudest awakening once Obama gets going. Going to be a rough ride people.
I only put it that way because I don't normally presume to speak for others. However, I do trust President Obama enough to say with confidence that he would never ask anyone to do something like that. Comparing him to Hitler is ludicrous. Hitler rose to power based on fear and hate. Obama rose to power based on empathy, trust, intelligence, hard work, persistence, etc. HUGE difference there!
It's interesting how you perceive Obama is coming to power. I think that fear of four more years of Bush(McCain) played a huge role...and hate for Bush too.....
I didn't see any comparison in the original comment to Hitler(reference to a gas chamber?)-so I'm not sure where you are drawing that comparison from...I see more comparisons to people worshiping him like a God. Certainly all the adulation shown in the video and gospel style singing is reminiscent of a church experience.
I think you misunderstood....when I say "perceive"...I mean your understanding of the factors involved in his becoming president...not whether he is coming to power which in and of itself is a forgone conclusion.
WOW!! I wish I had been on this train! What amazing and beautiful energy. :) I didn't get on the train until 2:00 a.m. after being out in the streets chanting and cheering, so everyone was falling asleep on my train home. :)
In a way I guess it's poetic justice. The left never really did mount much of an effort to stop the Patriot Act, the war in Iraq, or illegal signing statements, so it would make sense to see them once again embrace big brother and dance the jiggy. Most of these people think Obama's gonna pay their rent anyway. what else could you expect from poverty pimps and mindless sheep?
8 years of Bush insanity and in one day the left folded like a deck of cards. Amazing. Human stupidity always delivers.
These fools will sing the praises of Dear Leader as they're marched to the work camps--oh, sorry, "Universal Citizens Service Centers." Partisan whores vote for murdering puppets of a corrupt system because they're "not as bad as the other guy." Fools. NOTHING is going to "change," got it? NOTHING, except that Dear Leader will enslave you even further to the globalist bankster elite than Emperor George did. "Stepford" Obama is just like Georgie, but charismatic and therefore more dangerous.
This is a very scary video. Please tell me what it is you expect Obama to do? And if he fails to do these things, will you make up excuses? hold him accountable? stop voting? start voting differently? I think you all are going to be very disappointed.
I was on that train that night..It was completely amazing...It only started with about 5 of us and as the train went on more people would join and it was soooo much fun. Completely full of hope and joy!!! Go OBAMA!!!!
Such a great night for New Yorkers everywhere! All over the five boroughs people were coming together, singing, dancing, hi-fiving, crying: the most euphoric night in this City I've ever seen. We are united in hope.
You'll soon realize that there's little difference between the idealogies of Bush and Obama. Tax, spend, big government, war, deficit, big brother, loss of personal liberty, socialism, etc.--all the same.
Hey-- I was IN this car last night!!!!!! It was amazing. I may never see you all again but I thank you for spending the most historic night of our lives together singing. So proud to live in NYC and to have a new President!!!!! Thanks for posting.
I'm looking forward to a booming economy, the Iraq War ending safely with no future repercussions of an early withdrawal and universal healthcare all without being taxed a single cent. Oh, and the trillions of dollars of debt eliminated while flying on my unicorn.
What we're witnessing in this vid are the American youth who, after 8 years of unhappiness w/ Bush, are ecstatic over a new regime that's seemingly in touch with them!
This video definitely puts a new twist to the term "Soul Train"! ;o)
I got on the train at 157th Street and watched in amazement as this unofficial block party went from 0 to 100 by the time we hit 96th street. I've lived in NY for 30 years and I've never seen anything like it. People can say what they want about NYers, but there is no energy on earth like the energy here.
GO OBAMA! You've united us. We stand behind you in the hope that you will stand behind us!
I'm so happy you posted this-I was in the car towards the end cheering along!! (= was sad to leave the excitement over by columbia but this totally made up for it!!!!! GObama!!!!!!
YES WE CAN! I'm from Las Vegas and I could hear car horns from the Strip! We lit off firecrackers and popped champagne. That's two years of hard work right there!
In the old days, that poor while guy on the subway might have been terrified at an eruption like this. But with the expanded experiences that so many Americans have had w/this campaign, people are learning not to fear outbreaks of exuberance and celebration. (Like in a Black church).
What's loud and exciting is not thought of here as meanacing, but seen as the celebration it is.
We welcome 44th President-elect Barack Hussein Obama!

Yeah, white people always misunderstand when black people get loud and jump around it's a celebration. It was a celebration in New Orleans after Katrina. It was a celebration in Los Angeles in 92 etc...
effer: Dude! I wrote my comment over a month ago (way down on page 12!) You had to go back that far to find something to make a snarky comment about?
If you prefer sliced, white bread and water, that's your prerogative. But some folks like wheat or rye, or even cornbread, or tortillas with their meals. Gives it a little "flavor."
I like the way your racist comment is okay because it attacks whites. Your only on board with the whites that prefer the wheat bread as you say. You are also racist for voting for a guy as corrupt as Obama because he's black (sort of). You choose your president as lightly as choosing food.
effer: What IS your problem? Are you one of those people who see and hear "racists" everywhere you look? You call my comment racist because I euphemistically talked about spicy vs dull/plain? WHICH whites was I attacking?
HOW do you know who I voted for? If I did vote for Obama, HOW does that make ME racist?
Didn't know you read comments in reverse. Had I known you'd be this ignorant, I wouldn't have responded at all.
Expand your mind; let go the hatred & stereotypes. Life's too short.
YEAHHHHHHH OBAMA!!!!! whoever was singing has a good voice... But BARACK OBAMA is MY President!!! never thought I would see the day but I did and YES WE CAN!!!!

effer: Dude!
Chill. Or, get a life.
