This has worked like a charm with my daughter, in fact she downright loves it. We used a cue sound for a few weeks but now at 12 weeks she sees the toilet and just goes without my saying anything. She lets us know when she has to go. A little fuss and off we go to the toilet. No diaper rashes. We just use a few diapers each day usually when traveling is when we can't get to a toilet.

these peope are nuts. what a mess..with a little baby...what in thehell is orng with diapers. you are usposed to kwo hen they have to go..are you alloed to have a life?
@cullengal102 i dont do this with my daughter(yet) but it makes sense... and if you're a stay at home mum, i think you have the time to learn how your baby communicates that they need to go... it would become natural and second nature, just like knowing when your baby is hungry or hurting. babys cue when they need to go... you just need to take the time to learn their cues.
@cullengal102 How is it a mess? It is quite the opposite, actually. Diapers cause much more mess. Not to mention they are terrible for the environment, cause bacterial growth, diaper rash and urinary tract infections. EC provides early communication skills between the child and caregiver and is actually more comfortable for the child to eliminate while being placed in a squatting position than it is to lie or sit and do it. As far as having a life, child care is a parent's life.
I think I want to try this with my 7 month old little Girl we only use like 2 or 3 dipers a day with her because she doesnt go alot at all but if I can get away with only using a diper for night and when we go out then that will be fantastic! how did you get started with your son doing this? was it hard or easy?
Hey, thanks for posting. Our son is due in May - I have been researching for weeks on cloth diapers and just ran into the EC concept a few days ago. Another thing to research for a few weeks!
i like this training
