Hello Sir! I love that you posted all of these videos. They are a great guide and refresher when I am practicing at home. Who publishes them. Can you please tell me where they originated from and if this particular video is available in English language as well? Thanks again! Much appreciated!
@SuperNakedSnake Personalmente, creo que los Poomsaes son el Alma del TaeKwonDo. El combate olimpico, es el alma de un deporte. Un verdadero Artista Marcial, deberia aprender a combinar ambas en un perfecto equilibrio.

what country are you in? I've been doing TKD for a very long time and I have NEVER heard of brown belt in TKD, that is karate? After Red belt it goes to Black Stripe then Black belt. It is also for the red belt at my school though as well.
@contortedjuvenile I think brown belt no longer exists, but I'm from Colombia and I used to be red belt. When I was like in white belt, my teacher was red belt, and then he got a brown belt. After that he got the black belt... I stopped practicing Taekwondo beacuse a knee injury, so I'm not sure if the brown belt still exists...
@contortedjuvenile Actually, there was brown belt.. What I'm guessing is that they don't have brown belts anymore. When I was younger, we had red, brown, and then black.
@JuanDaesongPena Brown belts never existed in traditional TKD. The original colors were white, yellow, green, blue, red and black. Yes, brown has been used by some orgs, but it's certainly not one of the traditional TKD belts. Nor is camo, but that too is used by at least noe org.
@OffRoadRN No, the original belt system mentioned in General Choi's "Taekwon-Do - The Art of Self-Defense" from 1965 was White (8th-7th grade), Blue (6th-5th grade), Brown (4th-1st grade) and Black (1st-9th degree). Later that was changed. Today's colors in South Korea are Yellow, Blue, Red and Black- there's no Green Belt in Korea. The Kup system's different in a lot of countries anyway. In Germany you can either choose brown or red for 2nd grade and add a black stripe for 1st grade.
@contortedjuvenile I never said that there was a brown belt in my country (Netherlands). I just heard people who practice TKD and have brown belt, but they are from other countries. Here, well at least at my WTF school. It is white, white w/ yellow tag, yellow, yellow w/ green tag, green, green w/ blue tag, blue, blue w/ red tag, red, red w/ black tag, black. Right now I'm a red belt :) and I'm going for red with black tag in June. For this I have to learn taeguk pal jang.

A my school it is for the red belt, I'll have to take the exam soon! I have to know pal jang for the red/black belt. And there is also no brown belt at my school (wtf). I guess that very much depends on which school you go to.
Actually, it depends upon the school, as to what color belt this is testing for. Coming from USWC TKD, it is the poom (red and black) belt. In schools I have trained at across the country, as I travel for work, I have also seen it as the brown and red. Regardless of the belt color, it is simply the 7th form, usually (but not
always) prior to the black belt testing (which would be the taeguk pal jang or #8).

I love this poomse. It is the bomb! No other poomse compares to it, not even the black belts poomses. It makes you feel strong, confident, and in control. This guy looks fearless and invincible. He executes the style with great form, precision, and valor. What a great poomse!
@pdbarrow1 Indeed, this poomsae is meant to reflect the strength and indomitably of the mountains and it really shows when a person with that understanding performs it. It's one of my favorites, too.
@tkdhanz091 Actually, in Kukkiwon or ITF TKD, there is no brown belt. The colors are white, green, blue, red and black. Since this is a Kukkiwon TKD poomse, and since the video was released by the Kukkiwon, it's safe to say that the intended audience would follow this standard. :)
Impresionante :) Mi maestro ya me dejó los videos estos hasta oh yang y me encantó la forma de como lo explican (aunque no entienda una papa de coreano, solo lo básico para el entrenamiento xD)
taegeuk 7 is the 2nd taegeuk that I like, after taegeuk 5..In my first competition of poomsae in GOR KONI SLEMAN, Mei 2008, I was became a winner in Male Individual Class...n that is my first trophy

This is probably the hardest poomsae to do. Not because of the moves perse, but because of the technical difficulty and precision required.

@OffRoadRN Well, as you may know, all schools have a different way of doing things, and every teacher teaches by his/her own little book.
But thanks for letting me know(?)! :D
