I'm a Danish clasified clinikel hypnotist. And yes your right. Hypnosis is more about terapy.

I can tell that you have a good hypnotic capasaty, and if you had followed the instruction about closeing you eyes, you would have falled into a deeper trance.

If hypnotism has to be right, you dont have to listen to a recording, it has to be specific made for you and your need... And is very effektiv til change things in life.

As a certified clinical hypnotherapist, psychotherapist & master stage hypnotist I would have been VERY suprised if that audio actually worked.. Unfortuanatly self hypnosis recordings rarely work as they are far too generalized.. Certified hypnotists change the induction and session depending on the client/subject... There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to hypnosis, hence why recordings rarely work

You most definitely looked like you were entranced. Most people don't realize that while hypnotizing another is a skill that one can get better at, so is being hypnotized. Most don't go fully into a very deep trance in the first time around.

On your commentary of believing you were immune at the start: you're only immune if you're brain damaged, so drugged up or drunk that you might as well be brain damaged, or honestly not interested in going into trance.

You can be resistant against various styles. Ever find one person completely unable to explain something to you, but everyone else got it by the same explanation, then someone explained it slightly differently and it clicked? Different styles work better for different people.

Most people need more than 10 minutes for their initial hypnosis induction. The female in the video did appear to be starting to go into trance and with more time probably would have experienced a deeper state. The people that can be hypnotized by a YouTube video are either somnambulists or have been pre-conditioned to hypnosis. My suggesstion is to find a hypnotists that has credentials from National Guild of Hypnotists or American Hypnosis Assn.

I practiced a lot with deep breathing excercises for relaxation and you Can put yourself into an almost hipnotized state and it is relaxing. LOL. It's not a lie. It's a field studied by many psychologists. I haven't seen the bullshit thing, but I do know that people have gone into surgeries under hypnosis and have had no need for anathesia. You should keep an open mind. Hypnosis is quite amazing when used correctly.

Yea granted an open mind does open up doors for opportunities too. In AU it isn't widely practised since medicine and science is the proper method of treatment and the majority of AU people perceive it as negative re-programming but I have heard of such things happening as what u've mentioned. You do make a good point in that Hypnosis used right can have benefits. Unfortunately, there are people who don't use it correctly because they aren't professionals, which makes them dangerous people.

It has been shown that intelligent people can be hypnotized faster because they have greater access to their imagination, and can follow instructions. Those with an extremely low intelligence cannot be hypnotized at all. The biggest prerequisite to someone being able to be hypnotized is their willingness tho.

it is possible. When you're under hypnosis your subconcious mind is wide open for suggestions. You'll believe everything the hypnotist tells you. So they could tell you to transfer money to a certain account and make you believe it's for a charity or something.

I have no experience with those types of suggestions tho, they are immoral and obviously should never be executed.
