This scene is still a difficult view for me as a fan of the Clark/Lana pairing in SV as it so elegantly depicts the heartbreak between these two characters as they put their hearts out to one another in this farewell parting. I have never been affected by any small-screen pairing as I have been with Clark & Lana in this series. Their on-camera bonding was evident from their first scene in the Pilot throughout the series to this point in "Requiem". The magic they created together was amazing.

The last kiss between Clark and Lana was both the most beautiful and the most heartbreaking scene in all of Smallville. It was so moving how Clark fought off his very own body's reaction to the kryptonite poisoning to show Lana that he loves her more than anything, even his own life.

Though i'm not a shipper (and don't watch smallville anymore) i thought the "bye clark" part is quite touching. I got flashbacks of their early happy moments. If clana where handled better by the writers, clana would still be around, viewers wouldn't be so furious and annoyed with them, and they'd be the end game (as far as shipper crap is concerned) because after all, this is smallville. Its Clark and Lana's territory. Anyway, smallville has run its course. End it before it gets beyond joke.

I also think Clana's story was a bit mishandled. Before season 6 it was always "why can't you tell me" and clark is like "I want to keep her safe". The writer's can't seem to think further ahead and write for a 5 episodes arc of them being happy and build on the impeding conflict, it's like every episode needed some conflict between them. Although I said all that I still love clana, b/c during their time together when there was no drama the essence of their relationship is really true love.

Seriously, best performance of the entire series from Tom and Kristin, and most emotional Clana scene of the entire series. It still hasn't really sunk in.

I think the reason why people are responding so well to this, even though it is SUCH heartbreaking scene, is because the acting is so well done that you can actually FEEL their pain.

We've known since the start that they couldn't end up together. We just didn't know how it would go down. I think this scene exceeded all our expectations.

I just got home from work and the first thing I did was come and watch this scene all over again. I don't know why I put myself through the heartbreak, I just can't seem to help myself.

I've been a Clana fan for 8 years of my life, and it doesn't matter if the two of them can never touch each other again, they will always hold on to each others hearts. And thats the biggest touch of all.

Okay I haven't cried like that in ages... The more I watch that scene the more I'm getting depressed this is just heartbreaking ... TW and KK did a truly amazing work, really I never thought that scene would have affected me so much .. It's the end of an era I'm so sad :( ... Star-crossed lovers story are always so powerful ... That scene is so gonna get some award or something... It left me speechless when I saw it the first time

This is my second episode that made me cry like a baby...the first one was Arctic. GAWD...I'm still in shock now. Their LOVE has SURPASSED any love that will come AFTER. It's so heartwrenching to see both CLANA in so MUCH pain especially when they'vej ust FALLEN for each other all over again...

But I'm relieved to learn that when they separated it's NOT becoz they don't LOVE each other again like what cloissers wish. I LOVE YOU CLANA..No Matter What...CLANA FOREVER!

This is the 1st TIME I cried watching a movie!This Scene was SOOO painful..i cannot believe how painful it was..but it was so great too..they cannot be together ONLY because they have no other choice..they sacrificed theirselves for the CommonGood..it was a very very'nice'way to say goodbye to Lana..with this tremendous move by Clark to approach her and KISS her SOO passionate even though he was in great physical pain due toCryptonite.THEIR LOVE JUST PASSED IN HISTORY..IN SUPERMAN HISTORY 4EVER!

I still can't stop crying! I've rewatched this scene so many times and it hurts so much. I can't believe it's over. I'm so sad. :( Tom and Kristin did such an amazing job, they are two truly blessed actors who bring out the best in each other in every scene and this was no exception. I've never seen a tv couple that have touched me as much as CLANA has. I'm going to miss these two on my tv screen. But I still have hope that one day they will find each other again. CLANA 4ever!

I think everytime I will ever watch this scene I will cry. I haven't cried thiss much in a scene for SV since Lana died in Reckoning. This scene has touched my heart. It is the saddest scene I have ever scene in Clana history. TW and KK sure did an excellent job in playing it. It' so heart-wrenching and beautiful.

I agree with dangelp19, it deserves to get an award. I hope that in the DVD that TW and KK do a commentary for it.

Tears will always flow out of my eyes for this Sorrowful scene, i have never cried so much in a long time, KK and TW were beyond wonderful, their emotions touched every single body cell of mine, sigh, i really am depressed and do not think i will ever recover, but in our Hearts Clana will FOREVER LIVE ON!!! This Scene deserves an AWARD!!!
