The ancient Kyivan Rus city was called КИЇВ spelled Kyiv - Kiev is used by the Russians because Russian alphabet does not have letter Ї and Polish is Kiew -the correct and official Kyiv is used by Ukrainian and all other Governments

Those times there were neither Russian not Ukrainian. There was ancient Slavic language. Buy some historic book and get some education
