i surf here in ireland when the water is 8 degrees celcius, I'd think the water in this video is about 3 degrees celcius. Wet suits are really good I never feel the cold at all

I grew up on Lake Erie. I know how cold and miserable it gets out there. I live and surf in Huntington Beach, CA now. I have to say... the waves are definitely better out here, but I have HUGE respect for anyone who surfs the Great Lakes. Anyone who talks negatively about these guys is obviously a poser. No true soul surfer would ever try to talk shit to anyone who is surfing in any conditions, let alone the cold, wind, rain, and ice. Keep it up fellas!

u asshole. u have no clue what thats like, that takes balls. I went to Michigan one time and saw 3 guys out in ICE surf riding these huge waves. the surf in the Grest Lakes gets VERY bad sometimes. Many ships have sunk out there

Well, I grew up surfing in CA for over 25 years. I now live in Chicago, and have seen over the last couple of years what the lake has to offer. I would agree that they had balls if only there were big waves. The Polar Bear club has more balls.
