theirs so many amazingly written unreleased Mayer songs that need to be compiled and released in an album. Most of John's unknown songs would be greatest hits for most singer/ songwriters today. He has set the bar for talent, versatility, and most importantly, the drive & work ethic to keep valuable music coming for his loyal fans. Their wont be another like him.. Anyway, Thats just what I think.
gorgeous version of this song. I wonder who's playing & singing with him? Early on he had that gorgeous liquid velvet voice & superb ability on the guitar. Thank you for posting this beautiful audio.
@Mimimph Clay Cook, the other part of the Lo-Fi Masters. He actually played and created the guitar parts for Victoria, Comfortable, and this one. They recorded this at Berklee in the studios there with Matt Mangano on bass and another student on drums.
This was a track from the original LoFi Masters EP. I actually found the CD in a box recently. The disc itself says "LoFi Masters" in Sharpie, and the tracklist is on a white sticker placed on the plastic CD case..
mayer wrote this after he dropped out of college. the live acoustic version that he plays by himself at eddie's attic is so much better. amazing song.
When I first downloaded this song about 5 years ago . . . I listened to it nearly every day for a month. What an awesome song and I've always thought that it should've been put on IWO or something. Give Clay Cook some credit too.
Finally, I'm going to put up a live solo acoustic version that John did wayyyy back in the day.
kinda sound's like "queen of california"

Anyone know if the lyrics are written anywhere? JM always uses so many paradoxical lyrics, similar to the title of this song. It's kind of his M.O..
