It all depends on a few things. How good your computer is and how much you want to spend. If you have a pretty good computer and are okay with just average quality go with a dazzle (you will need splitters tho). If you dont have a great computer but have a fireware cable id go with a canopus (they are 200$+). HD is usually the way to go, you can get a good one for around 200$.

I use a capture card. You basically plug in the HD cables from your xbox into the input and then HD cables in the output and into your TV and the capture card then goes to your computer and you record it.

HD PVR is the best recording system out there i have one amazing no flaws skiped frames or anything all u need is a big hard drive cause it is all done in the HD PVR and not on the comp take stress off your comp

@Subleak You would want an HD capture card. If you want an internal one go for the Black Magic Intensity Pro, if you want an External one go for the Hauppauge HD PVR. They are about the same price. You do however need a lot of hard drive and a decent video card for playback.

Graphics card being an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT (which I believe has 256mb memory), the system itself has 2 gigs of RAM... Think I'd be okay?

ummmm. we kind of do. there are free pc apps like many cam and stuff. all u need is a webcam and most webcams cost the same as a PSeye or a cam for the 360. vplus we can sit down in a comfortable computer chair. we even have free 3-D gaming with red/blue or yellow/blue glasses. and you dont need to pay $400 every 4 years to get a new console just maybe 100 every couple to keep ur specs up to date.

What about the initial cost of good gaming computer? that is about twice or three times as much as console and the console has a lot more defense against modders or hackers, plus the issue of lag is not as apparant. Punkbuster has quite a few flaws. Also they come out with so many more new computers in a given time period than they do consoles.

as for hackers, u play on vac servers if ur on steam which is a amazing anti hacker system. ive played alot of console... when 1 lags, everyone lags which is rediculously gay.. unlike on pc, 1 person lags, they get dropped.

we only need to buy 1 comp and up it everyonce in awhile to keep it up to date, like once every 2 years is fine

You are wrong. A good PC will cost about $450. Alienware's are a horrible gauge for PC pricing. Consoles are far less defense against cheaters. With the proper hardware, you can do whatever you want in an online game. With PC, if you get caught, you can't enjoy that game online ever again. Consoles have the same, if not, more lag than PC's due to most consoles being wireless. It all depends on the provider, modem, router, and cables. And PB is dead. MW2, switched to VAC, which is far better.
