He has admitted that he idolized Hitler as a youth and has continued to do so all his life. You may share his feelings. You are entitled to your opinions but not to your personal facts.

Irvings books are excellent for people who really want to learn about history because of the quality of his research, and his sources. He interviewed many of the senior officers and leaders who had important roles in the War, and obtained the originals of important documents. Most WW2 "history" books basically copy earlier books, which took their "research" from other books before them.
