  • I'm 54 now and got into this guy back in the 70' I used to play guitar in a band and our bass player used to try and copy his style lots of blood usually left on hi bass strings!!

The middle section is my favourite - sweet notes!

  • grandissimo lenny white

  • This is one of the best songs ever to play on the Bass. Stanley is a legend.

  • Great Jam. Too bad there are so many in the dark about music. The majority of younger people are programmed by main stream radio. Can't believe they never heard this. I always try to turn younger people on to all the various forms of jazz and let them decide for themselves What they've been missing. This just takes me back to some great times..

  • Epic bass solo is epic.

  • awesome, thanks jay :)

  • aww good morning chi, and welcome!!! lol

  • So many wonderful dimensions of bass playing. Stanley really came into his own when he left Return to Forever. I have had this album since 1976.

  • The musicianship in this 1976 classic track is absolutely fantastic, the level of funk is ridiculous, God knows how bad I would've loved to see him and Jimi Hendrix collaborate, talk about a match made in heaven, bow down to Mr. Clarke, bow down!!

  • What a fucking Genius he is!!!

  • Stanley's from my hometown, PhilADELPHIA, PA. and when this song hit everyone was proud of him. Incidentally, his work with Return to Forever which featured Chick Corea was legendary.

    THANKS FOR POSTING THE SONG!!!!

  • Thank you for uploading this

  • Mans got SOUL.

  • 1111th view.. woo

  • Stanley Clarke and Marcus Miller are both gods when it comes to the bass.

But this has to be the greatest song ever.

  • Yeah, this song and the bass solo changed the entire bass world forever.

  • Gotta love stanley clarke Really dont you?

George sounds pretty awesome too, Possibly my favourite song for the mo :)
