Some of these accidents are legitimate accidents, people who knew what they were doing and just picked a bad line, where as others are idiots who thought they knew what they were doing but, as you can see didn't... the grand cherokee on the rock for example.

@gypman921 IFS isnt all bad like you said. lol They may not be the best, but they do work. I can understand IFS not putting up with abuse on a Silverado or an F150. They're heavy as hell. IFS on lighter trucks are actually pretty decent. Try a Chevy S10 or a 3rd gen Toyota IFSp/u. I had a 91 Toyota p/u IFS no lift, 33's dual cases, chevy rears and armor all around and actually did pretty good. Went through Fordyce Creek trail twice. After that I threw in a Diamond housing SAS.

Please note folks that the H2 in that rocky area is the supposed superiority of independant front suspension that some weekedn whack job claims is many more time stronger than that of a solid axel.......lol i about pissed myself. IFS is good for one thing a seasonal road maybe, and running the parking lot at the local mall. Ive never ever seen a IFS equipped vehicle win a rock crawling championship or take the abuses of deep mud or hill climbing the way a dana will. They are to vulnerable.

Top speed of a military hmmvee and thats the correct spelling like to see super genius veraforzza tell me what it stands for but the top speed of a miltary one is around 55 mph full tilt The civilian version has a CTiS (central tire inflation system) where the military ones do not so they are not scaled down at all but upped. But they are crap..lol

You put around 1.5 tons of armor on it and then stuff starts to fail ie. suspension components and CV shafts if you were to venture off a road like a rocky creek bed or soft sand then youre asking for trouble. They are being replaced by the MWRAP in which case 95% of those platforms are of solid axel design which is better suited to the rough terrain of Iraq and Afghanistan.
