@turboram33 95% of 4x4s are open diffs which mean 1 front tire and one rear tire spin. gm has been puting locking rear diffs in there 4x4s since the late 90s which makes it both back tires and 1 front.
@chud327 sum of the gm 2wd's have the rear locker too. it makes a world of difference. my dad had a 77 chevy van with a 400 small block 4 barrel and a posi rear(simular to a locker) and he went places in the deep snow that sum 4x4s were having trouble in! and he did it with no reverse! lol it was the combo of the posi rear,great snow tires and that powerful 400 small block and a heavy right foot that helped alot. i have a 06 chevy trailblazer ss and it is all wheel drive with the locking rear

i dont think he was playing, that truck was getting stuck all on it's own!! at 0:22 the rear tire stops spinning....why couldn't he drive stright thru that, it wasnt very deep sand???
Do you think he magically made the back tire stop spinning so that it would look like he was playing? Did he turn his locker off? Not deep? There is nothing but sand, it is a beach, do you think that there is hard pan 3" under the sand. Not to mention he was going up hill. I hate to say it because I don't want to give GM a bad name, but it had just over 100k mile. But what is really bad about it is that this was its second engine. (He did drive it hard though...)
100k miles is still a fairly newish truck, and it should run like new even if it was abused. but to have the second engine blown by then isn't very good. however, the s-10 isn't the best small truck out there. that's why they just completely replaced it with the Colorado. the s-10 is more of a street truck than an off roader.
